While Aion is running, I can't do much else.

 I don't mean to say by the title that my computer chugs along - it seems to do just fine, but Aion seems to put a veritable stranglehold on my internet connection.  I can't seem to use my browser while the game is running, websites don't load ...

 

Anyone know why?

try open your internet browser with a valid webpage, then launch the game. once in-game, alt+tab to the browser and go to a new web address and see whether you have problems with the webpage or not. i have sort of a simliar problem and i suspect is game guard

I have no problems (using firefox).

When I do decide to run firefox and Aion I don't have any problems at all.

It may be simpler than anybody is making it. You may simply have a poor internet connection.

just buy extra monitor to go on with, so you can always see the internet ;-)

i can run it fine, maybe you jsut have a bad internet connection

 The connection's great, it's the browser itself that seems to stop functioning.  I use Google Chrome at the moment.
