Okay I started this thread here because out respect to another OP, I did'nt want to derail another poster's thread in the Droid thread.
Basically I am no longer a closted Ewok fan. Sure most Star Wars fans hate them, and wished that Return of the Jedi never was released. But there are, I'm sure those fans who secretly love Ewoks. I've decided to come out of the proverbial closet and publicly declare my love for the little furry munchkins. To anyone else brave enough to declare your love and your request to the dev. that this be a playable race, then declare that love here.
Also, I reason that even if you hate Ewoks, then what better way to take out your rage on them then to kill players who play that race? It's win win for both fans and haters of Ewoks to that end.

I dont think so.. ewoks with slingshots against lightsaber wielding sith? No place for them in the game really, I do think they could make an appearance in the story somehow.
I don't see why not, some people like to play an "underdog" style character. I get thrill for picking underpowered classes as that is fun for me. I'm sure there are others who don't want to play OP classes or have the highest dps/aoe damage. Why can't I play and underpowered class for the challenge and fun?

Ewoks I don't think were really in the picture in the era TOR will be set in. Unless there was a huge battle on the forest moon or something. So I don't expect them to be in the game.

Yeah I should have worded it more carefully. I guess I was excited about creating this tread and thought faster then I typed. Well I for one could forgive the dev. if they wanted to deviate from the chronology of the lore. I'm a Star Wars fan but I could forgive them that (though I suspect more ficklers would not).
I hate Ewoks, but I like your idea, I would definately like them to put it in the game if only to kill all Ewok players, BWahahahahha.
I can live without them.

I didnt mean power wise, I meant it would purely look wrong, you never saw it in the films, for good reason :P

Jawas would work a lot better. Just as short, just as underpowered, better looking, just as unable to speak a civilized language, and actually *around* in the time period the game is set in.

How could i call myself a fan and forget about the Jawas??? Holy Fail batman!!! Yeah I agree, that would be an interesting race to play as well. Good idea. They could be into robo trading and slavery. The Ewoks are more of if you want to play a race that everyone hates because they are adorably annoying. Jawas are very cool, and cute with a slightly spooky edge.

I always support any form of more choice, more diversity in MMOs. I never understood why people dislike one race and conclude, it must be excluded. I dont like Rhodians or Trandoshans, but I still hope they are in the game. As the OP said, if you dislike something, use it to play on it.
More choice is always a gain. People should not start exclusion-wars over personal preferrences.

Imo the ewoks were the main reason why return of the jedi wasnt as good as empire strikes back. Always hated Ewoks , gave the final episode a touch of muppets show . I see no need having them in an mmo , who'd want to play those annoying furballs anyway

Would be really fun to kill though, I must say. Similar to gnomes in WoW.
