For the most part I like NWN. It is a good mix of combat and problem solving. The graphics, I found to be just a bit lacking and I am not a huge fan of the camera angles but for the most part a good solid game. In so much as getting that D&D feeling, one can never go wrong with the likes of the Baldurs Gate series or the Icewind Dale series. I am a HUGE fan of those games, they are wonderful. I played Pool of Radiance when it came out but didnt realy ever get a connection to it. Though it was FAR better than the original PoR that came out years ago for the Commodor 128 I think it was. I wonder if they will redo Curse of the Azure bonds next? If they could get the feel of Icewind dale or Baldurs Gate in a mmog that would be the best thing EVER in my opinion.
I'd be tickled pink if they started redoing all the old campaigns using the ToEE engine, minus the bugs, of course. Even the Baldurs gate engine would be ok, though I prefer the actual turn based gameplay over hitting pause all the time.
Hell, maybe I'll do something like that with the Dragon Age tools when it comes out. Or Dungeon Seige 2, or Elder Scrolls IV, assuming those two have as robust a toolset for modding as their predecessors.
