I agree, this game has some interesting features. Its definetly still capable of being a sleeper. The only problem is the end-game doesn't have as much momentum as the level 10~30 range. Chaste Sanctum and Ruins of Lament are simply some of the best dungeons ever done for an mmo. If they had that kind of dungeon running at more levels it would be great.
yeah, i was surprised by it too. It doesn't force you to buy cashshop stuff but having a prem sub is key. I like the game for the gothic/sci-fi/cyberpunk feel of it. What servers do you play on, Im on Hammerine.
The game is nice and fun but without prem it will take you a while to hit 60 or 70 forgot what the cap is, true the features are nice but the lag is getting to me i know some people all around the usa who plays this game and on every channel the lag is horride when you hit certin players and there comps and my comp exceed the expictations of the game req. but to me the game is worth the play i enjoyed getting to 40 with no prem.
The problem with the lag is poor initial game engine creation. It allowed for client control of User position. Which meant speed hacking was possible along with several other cheats. A bit of the engine has been corrected like Z-information, but without Hackshield currently its still possible to speed hack. Hackshield ofcourse doubling latency and increasing resources per action. An action sequence being, you tell server you begin moving w/ for server response, server checks legality then sends message back, you begin moving. Instead of you tell server you are moving in Ray direction and begin moving, Server inputs information of your projected path, if illegality occurs before next action is sent it corrects client.
To do the fixing on the servers they will either have to change code, or change hackshield. Both of which will take time.
I don't use hacks and haven't seen any to date. I'll keep an eye out for them, but there is always hackers in every game. Has anyone read the "confessions of a darkfall hacker" thread? It's so scary that there is so many blatant hacks out there and used so widespread.
