Age of Conan is simply one of the most unfinished games ever. However, if you like raiding and guild PvP, this is definitely the game for you. As for me, I feel like I have claustraphobia everytime I play this game. Otherwise, it is fun and interesting.
you have a 3km DETAILED view distance and yet feel claustrophobic !
Rat in a maze. Being able to see 3k away is fine, but you can't actually get there half the time because of all the invisible walls. Seems like it's not as bad as launch, but it still drives me nuts.
YES! Public anouncement from the Vice President today. finance.yahoo.com/news/Age-of-Conan-Celebrates-One-bw-15278007.html DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This week Funcom and a worldwide community of gamers celebrate the one year anniversary of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’. One year after the mighty barbarian burst onto the online gaming market, shipping over 1.2 million copies around the world, Funcom is seeing a significant increase in players and new customers per month. Activity levels have risen significantly, and the communities are thriving with more and more players finding their way into the game. Thought you guys would be interested. What boggles me is, "why havent Amazing Avery posted this already?"
Not to say whether AoC is growing or in decline that statement from Funcom is meaningless. If Funcom wants to show how the game is reversing the decline from the poor launch then they can release sub numbers (and even include some history on sub numbers), short of them doing that it is just marketing fluff and corporate spin and doesn't prove anything. That being said, with the good word of mouth the changes and coming 1.05 is getting it is not hard to imagine that people would give it another look. I am planning on checking it out again once 1.05 goes live myself.
