I've only been playing for like a week so I can't say too much, and I'm obviously no expert, but from the time I started playing I could already tell I would be in this game for a while to come...
Like everyone says, it is just pollished so fucking nicely...It's super smooth, everything is in sync and just goes great...it's no wonder so many people play this game...I mean I love the story behind LotRO much more that WoW, but Wow is just sooooo accessible.....I am hooked already.....It really is a great game and it's obvious why millions sub....

Good for you. I got a level 50 something hunter and purchased Burning Crusade before the sheer little kiddyness feeling set in for good on me. I agree it is accessible but I won't pay 15 bucks a month for something that looks like a little kids game , I like a more real, mature setting. Have fun bud!

Anyway you seem so sure everyone is gonna flame you, have you no faith in people anymore? Well TBH I dont blame you, but the way you worded your position on this game wont help avoid the fire man.
I played WoW for over three years and have since quit and I honestly was talking to a friend the other day on weather new people are joining WoW or not because last time I started an alt I couldn't get a group to save my life, you sir have anwered that question, thank you.
LOL I tried to play this game so many times because family plays but its just so boring to me. Didn't make it past level 45 before I realized all the game is about is soloing quests.Then grouping up for an hour or so to get the gear you need then everyone splits like a bunch of cockroaches when the light is switched on.
The only time people actually talk in the game is when your in Org and they are just all BSing on Trade chat for some odd reason. Or someone is bitching at you in the game. No Roleplaying what so ever on the game, it may have been my server cuz it was a PvP server.
Wow...some people are like vultures flying around a hopeless in the desert, just waiting for it to die so they can swoop in to pick the remains off of the carcass....hahaha...
Don't some of you have anything better to do besides checking the WoW forums for someone to post something so you can attack the game...
I have an idea....just a thought, but why don't you go to the forums of some game you like and help a noob out by answering some questions or giving advice like the "ever so terrible" WoW community did for me...

Wow is not a bad game. If you like it just play it, who cares what other people thinks anyways?

I uh... love WoW...
The community, raiding, lolfail arena with a good friend. Everything's fun, and even after doing many raids/instances 5,6,7 times, everything still feels fresh and exciting. Maybe the sheen will wear off, but I've defintely enjoyed the past 5 months playing it.

Second of all, dont try to pull the "OH DONT HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TROLL WOW FORUMS." because this site is not dedicated to WoW and you could easily see this post pop up on the homepage. Just sayin' you asked for it.
But have fun with your WoW anyways. Its graphics are waaay too outdated for me, that and i dont think i could get back into it again its not the same as however long ago it was that i played couple years or so ago.
I've got to say only one thing: grow up, take a break from posting here, come back in 10-15 years.

Of course WoW is extremely appealing to beginners, this is no news, and it's the point to hook you for some time.

I too played it for quite a while, and enjoyed it a lot. In the end I just needed to move on.

You pretty much just asked for what you got when you made the post. You even went so far as to ask people not to flame you, so why are you suprised? The original post said nothing really constructive, nothing new. I'm not saying you're a bad person but I dont really understand why you are suprised and I have no idea what you were really going for with this thread? Honestly I played the game from launch for about 3 years and no offense but you kinda fit well with 80% of WoW's community which sits around in trade chat and just bitches about dumb crap or seeks drama in some form or another. I mean I didnt swoop into the WoW forums nor did I "hover" around and watch it. I got on the site and looked at the "recent post" box and noticed an interesting title.
Now before you flame me for what you probably percieve as a somewhat offensive post. Take a deep breath and read the title of the post and notice that their is a "recent posts" box on the main page of this site coupled with the fact that a great deal of people on this site dont like the game and re-read your post and then in all fairness if you are a somewhat fair individual you will realize you pretty much got the kindling and lit the fire yourself lol. I think honestly you should just go post this exact post in the WoW forums if you are honestly looking for 90% of peoples posts not to flame you. In closing its great that you found something you really enjoy. Play the games guts out, but just dont look for the majority to agree with you here lol. Peace

The great thing about WOW is that it is soloable and very few people actually want to role-play. It is really about killing stuff with some friends once in a while.
You probably don't have a good guild. I have a lot of friendly guildmates whom i enjoy to chat with (no that RP-shit though).
Well, I totally agree with you. I think almost every MMO released since WoW is just a knock-off created by developers trying to make a quick buck. Then again, I've been a fan and loyal customer of Blizzard long before WoW even came out, so I have a lot of faith in them. Right now, I'm really looking forward to Diablo 3 (I will quit WoW when that comes out) and their new MMO.

Oh, how I love all of you...So I got the wood for the burning and I even threw some lighter fluid on it haha...
There was a point in time, not too long ago, when I doubted WoW...thought I'd never play, thought it was over rated, etc.
During that time I played a few games, some good, some not so good...I never found one that kept me hooked for too long besides FFXI...I grew really bored with everything else, so I thought why not try WoW...it wouldn't hurt right?
I knew how many people on this site hated the game...I knew I was gonna get flamed, okay...so what?
I wanted to let everyone know, well, mostly just the haters, that I, someone who had his doubts, tried it and liked it...some of you people are quite immature and I woulndn't be surprised if you were older than myself...
It's like you people can't take the fact that people like the game...I'm a casual player of MMOs, and WoW is casual friendly, not bad to look at, and it's pretty fun...it's just funny how it eats away at some of you whenever someone makes posts like these hahaha...
