well ofc I checked out the official site before posting here but there's no DL / buy link there and the most recent "news" post is like 5 months old :S
The game is released, however they are doing a staged launch so getting the game is like a minigame itself. :P

Although some people would question whether DF techically released, I think it did. Its a very limited release, meaning you can't just purchase the game whenever you want. You would have to wait till they open their shop and then purchase it. And you can't do that from their website, you would have to find the link from their forum (weird, huh?).
I wonder why you all say this game is released if we can't buy it and the website news is about the Beta which was posted almost 6 months ago. Are they crazy enough to state that the game is officially released even if they fail to update their own website... and sell the game on a "shop is open" format...!!!
That would keep me away from buying the game... a waste of money imo.

It's a complete joke IMO. I mean gamespot have this game labeled as "Release Date: TBA 2009 " and I completely agree with them. There are no game boxes being published, no retailers selling, there is NO product, therefore the game is not released yet.
Not that the game is in released state anyway, It's nothing but a pay to play beta.
You can go through hell to play the game if you want, by going to the site, filling all the info, spamming F5 for hours and pray you catch the shop online (or pray not to). But I've heard that it's much easier now than a few weeks ago, as less and less people are looking forward to playing the game, or more players are quitting, or both.
Anyway like Sagremor, you should already have an idea of the quality, professionalism and skill provided by Aventurine after this 'release', the outdated site, the lack of customer service, the amateurish GMs, and the overall drama surrounding the game to know better than to try to play it currently.

This is a indie company, and while the people playing are having a blast, its almost impossible to get this game, I love it and think its not a paid beta, but a shitty launch, and a test for the whole server, they are patching in every week, and probably in a month or two, I will say they will be changing their ways on releasing this game, to be more open.

the devs may pull the plug on this game. but that's my opinion. look to the official website, then look right here on top where there is not even information about System Requirements, yet they have the game with a status of "final". This was all hype. Not to mention the score of 2/10 that Eurogamer gave to this game. You decide lol

I just went throught the whole drama between the bad review VS Tasos. This guy just convinced me that this is a "don't touch" product...!!!
