Fresh New Darktide Guild

Hog-ManHog-Man Member Posts: 2

Greetings,  if you are interested in returning to AC and are looking for a sincere rewarding experience; you should consider joining the new guild we are creating over this summer.  We are already starting work on our guild website, which I will post the address upon completion, and have posted our intentions to start a guild from scratch on multiple player media sites.  I am a returning player who has considerable experience on all stages of the game.

If you are interested in joining this project, you will find the easiest way to contact me on VN Boards under Asherons Call -Darktide posting as Hog-Man while we are building our site.

Having little/none experience is not a problem, we desire to attract new players/talents to the game of AC/DT.

Hope to hear from you soon. Your friend,

Hog Man

Here is our up to date guild webbie.  This will be the easiest way to get ahold of us.  Welcome all!

Did you really just call a website a "webbie". Ugh, that is terrible.

That's a great idea to help more people stay on darktide, since they do tend to get brutally initiated on that server. Hope it goes well for you and brings in some new blood.

Hmm.. I never got to try DT which is really unfortunate because I love PvP, including open PvP. I'm currently playing The Chronicles of Spellborn which is terrific, except for there is no advertising for it, and it's not that populated... I'm hoping after they release a patch to re-do the starter zone, they begin advertising heavily. That said, for no reason but information, I heard DT was changed in some way which made most of the players leave... What was that reason and is DT still worth playing? Is there a client fee or just a monthly charge? What are some of the great features about DT that make it worth playing?

Former xFire user... I only wanted a game tracker and messenger, not a screenshot taker, video recording, broadcasting piece of bloatware.

Nothing changed to the format of darktide. The only thing that changed, that unfortunatly many more darktide players were effected by because of their nature then the other servers, was the best loot not dropping on mobs. Which meant people couldn't turn on their macros over night to gear up. Darktide has always had more macros then any other server so it drove a couple people off. The loot is still fairly easy to get by running some quick quests each week. They are also getting ready to add it back onto some of the mobs, but in areas that aren't as profitable for macroing.

But other then that Darktide PvP remains the same, anyone can kill anyone and anywhere. Inside your house is basically the only safe area. There is no level limit on who you can pk. There is also more skill in pvp in AC because of skills like animation breaking and spell dodging that you have to work on to be skilled enough to survive. Unlike other games spells do not track you, meaning you can physically dodge any spell shot at you if you're quick enough and paying attention.

If you like a much more skill driven type of pvp as opposed to gear driven pvp then you'll love it.

There is no client fee. If you download the trial you have the whole game and then just have to start paying the monthly fee, which is much better then some of those games that give you a free trial but then charge you for all the expansions. AC just gives it all to you for free.

Nice to hear of people coming back.  I also came back and I'm enjoying it more than ever.   I was suprised to see such a good population also.  AC is the best!

Ya I think the numbers are pretty nice for a 10 year old game. Plus lately it seems the numbers are on the rise a bit which is even nicer to see.
