"Off-Topic" MMO Patience contest?

Well not really a contest but just wanna hear everyone elses "Turn Brain Off" time they had when they were playing any of the MMO's.  I remember I was playing Silk Road Online to get to lvl 20 and around lvl 12 or so their was a quest to kill 1000 Tigers (Real quest no lie).  When I hit the 1000 mark my brain got a jump start!  Went to turn in the quest and he said to do it again and was like OMG!  So I acutally did it again and came back and he said do it one last time.....I did it that last time expecting the reward to be awesome but it was for some cash and potions i think? I wasn't sure but some how I kept playing.  Though I stopped at lvl 20 haha, I'm patient but not THAT patient.

I had tons of quests like that, but with MMORPG I am glad these quest do not have to be done instant, I always spread those type of quests as you are bound to run into the things you need to kill anyway while playing.

I never understood why people do these type of quest and just do that quest and finish it, it's like some can not shake the singleplayer mode out when entering a MMO, instead people pursuit such quest and end up bored or think they might be impatient. It has to do with patients in some way's but not in the way you need to pursuit such quest at once, really there is no need in doing so with MMORPG, I feel when people realize that perhaps quests can be viewed differently then what how the common gamer these day's tries to play them.

It's like faction points, then you get a quest where you need 5000 faction points and some people will pursuit that and only that, again very strange to see people doing that with MMORPG where they are bound to get these points anyway by just doing lots of other stuff aswell. Don't make yourself bored with a limited playstyle, MMORPG are not meant ot be played that limited, unfortunaly it seems people like to limit themselfs instead of broadening their playstyle.
