I've been trying to find benchmarks for the 1gig version of the card in crossfire (2 x 1gig 4870's), but have been unable to. I was hoping that one of my savvy friends here could help, thank you.
Its performance is going to be identical to the ATI 4870x2, since thats exactly what 2-HD4870 1 gig are. The advantage of 2 seperate cards being better overclocks.

Hey it's my birthday and my mother has let me out of the basement for the day! But I couldn't fit through the door so the hooker had to come to me
Seriously I've been putting the HD in my comp but am still waiting on the DVD player and it happens to be a bank holiday Monday next week! Also having trouble burning an ISO DVD for Windows 7, so that's been giving me gip all day too.
As for the 4780 1gig in CF, I'd go for the 512MB as it's cheaper with exactly the same results. Also it sometimes beats the 4870X2 also by a few FPS, but I reckon that is all just random since the cards are so similar.
