Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Sega and FilePlanet are offering 20,000 authentication keys to gain access to The Matrix Online Beta. Only FilePlanet subscribers will get the chance to play in a special FilePlanet exclusive look into The Matrix Online Beta. Every week on Tuesday we'll be releasing 5000 authentication keys to subscribers on a first come, first served basis over the span of a month. Once the keys run out for each week, you'll need to check back the following Tuesday to attempt access into this sprawling world of virtual reality.

Those that are accepted into the beta will jack into the Matrix-a sprawling urban landscape of subways, nightclubs, skyscrapers, and dark alleys. You'll be part of the secret war that goes on underneath the pedestrian surface-a war of survival and control between Machines, Zionists, and Exiles.

you can get basic membership to fileplanet for 7.95 monthly. its an awesome source with many great perks, 7.95 is nothing. Have to be stingy to not be subscribed with them.

Spyware huh? Interesting that a webpage that has never put spyware on my system in the last 2 years I've used it including before I upped my spyware/virus protection can be called spyware. As for gamespy I never use it myself because it is useless. lol

I signed up for fileplanet way before they started getting betas so I tend to not agree with the fact that all fileplanet is is a way to pay to get into betas. You get to d/l tons of free demos and files and the servers they provide are clean, stable, and fast. I have rarely had a problem with them.

All of these great beta opportunities are just icing on the cake to a great FTP service.  I pay annually for the service alone, the extra stuff is just fluff, but really really nice fluff.

It figures.. I have been playing monthly for a while now and thanks to recent unfortunate events I no longer have an account there and this goes ahead and pops up. I'd give my right testicle to try this out. Or do something crazy like that. Hopefully I can get my new credit card soon and rectify the problem.
