Both NCSoft and MMORPG use region check... US can't egt Eu keys and vice-versa (I've already noticed that on other give-aways in the past from MMORPG). I agree that the time for the EU keys is a bit early... This morning I went to MMORPG.com around 8.00 CET (enjoying a good cup of coffee), there were only 650 keys left...
I requested that Aion be added to the MMORPG forums, and can't believe that I didn't get a key! Getting a notice in email about the Availability of keys for the beta and getting here to have none available was a huge tease. Of course I know there are many other people that want in, but its just disappointing is all.
Well the up side is that it probably wouldn't have worked on my laptop so it saves me that aggravation (trying to find a positive in my negative reaction).
Congratulations to the lucky ones that got a key. Hope its as good as it looks.

They don't do region checks. As I myself have both a US NcSoft account and a EU NcSoft account for years.

Yes they do. Im not sure about NCSoft but mmorpg.com has a ip-block so only 1 code per IP. They also have region checks on mmorpg.com so I doubt all your EU keys went to NA players. Maybe a small handful at most.
Damn, here I am checking the site everyday and I totally missed the beta keys going out for this weekend. It seems the US version went out FAST. Here's hoping to more keys being released (or a Kind, kind, kind soul to PM me a US key!) (Yes I do believe in miracles it seems! )

People should realize you can play it for free on the Chinese version right now, MMOsite has a download, and the registration contains two fields, one for your username and one for your password.

I agree, add to the that all the people who have made preorders and are promised keys yet people who smash f5 and/or have multiple accounts on various sites have hoarded all the keys so that they can either:
a) sell them
b) "give them to their plethora of friends"
c) get free entertainment with no intention of buying
d) give them out on the same sites that they got them from for some sick sense of entitlement
e) actually plan to purchase the game, but wish to try it out
...and we all know that e is the minority. Once again another mmo company that panders to the masses and totally takes a dump on those of us who put our money up front.

Granted I got mine (and my entire has beta keys too), but I can see where many people are coming from, they should advertise these events in the game's forums instead of doing it in the homepage for a hour at least.

I got my key at around 10:30 pm central time (there was about 3500 at that time) 1 hour later when I came back to check there was only about 900 left. I was trying to tell my bro to get one, but then it says 1 key PER IP. So he lucked out haha. I'll probably have to share times playing with him, 1 day for me and 1 day for him.
all the keys already out when i know about the giveaway. But it doesnt matter to me since i can play the china retail till i vomit and no level restriction all the way to lvl45. haaha
Dont worry all! Even if you didnt get a beta key from the give away all you have to do is go to a gaming store near you such as gamestop. Go in, preoder the game, and they will give you a game case containing a a key that will give you access to all their beta events! But it will cost you 5 dollars to preorder so make sure you have a fiver laying around!
As for those who have already preordered before just go in and ask if you can get yours for your preorder you made at an earlier date, because thats what I had to do and I got my key! Best of luck to you all and maybe i'll see you this weekend ^.-
Most depressing indeed. I log on to MMORPG everyday to check for updates, etc.. the ONE day I don't log in; the beta keys are given out.. the next day I log in I see "AION Beta Key Giveaway (5000)!" So I'm like 'sweet as.' I click on it only to find that all keys are gone. I mean wow, I'm sure half of those keys were taken by the same person who logged in multiple accounts.
My point being, if anyone has a spare US key, I wouldn't mind taking it, hell I don't mind sharing accounts either.
