There are organizations that feel they have the responsibility of "depopulating" the world, through various means including but not limited to food. Not saying this has anything to do with that, but let's not rule that out.

If you're reading this and you don't know about the Codex Alimentarius and the World Health Organization, then you need to look into that.

This just in, it's not a conspiracy.

It's not a far-fetched ideology that there are groups or organizations that believe they should do something about the world's population.

China is overpopulated and they conduct the well known policy of selective birth, in some cases they use extermination based on the infant's sex. I don't know if they still do this but I know they have in the past.

So, to say that this certain ideology is "tinfoil paranoid" is off-the-mark.

You're reading the wrong blogs.    To fight over population in china the govt. has mandated the maxium of one child per family.  Also due to China has some undesirable cultural hold overs it effectivly means that the parents only want male children.   This effectively means that families that can afford "family planning" to get rid of female fetuses do so, the family willingly does this to themselves.

China's overpopulation is an insanely complex socioeconomic issues for you to "blame" it on an "illuminati of population control" is downright shallow and short sighted.   It's almost like saying that the chinese govt. enacted the law to increase the savings rate of the chinese(chilren not being a retirement fund, fewer children meaning more money to save) so that it would have money to "float the old first world" while it modernizes itself and positions for being "the new first world".

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

For being a worldwide conspiracy of the wealthy and powerful, they sure are doing a crappy job. Global population has been growing steadily since like...forever, and it isn't expected to peak until 2050-2070

I didn't blame anyone for China's policy, nor do I believe in a modern "illuminati". I was simply saying that a lot of people dismiss the ideology of population control because they think groups or organizations are not capable or will not do it for ethical reasons. I used China as an example to say that there is overpopulation problems and to show that people will in-fact try to control the population. I wasn't saying China is being strong-armed by some conspiratorial shadow government.

There are people and organizations who want to control the population. Whether or not they will succeed or are powerful enough to do so, is for another discussion; But dismissing it ouright is shallow imo.

This stuff has happened throughout all of civilization's history, and when looked at through a historical perspective, things like this have happened recently. So it's not like our civilization is now so complex that we will never see sinister and underhanded agendas.

It's like saying that the medical field is at it's peak of maturity and far advanced. 100 years into the future, the practicers of medicine will look back at our present time and note how barbaric we were in our health. Just as we look back 50 years from now and see things like frontal lobotomies and things of that nature.

I don't have that much faith in humanity to assume something like "population control" or "eugenics" are not being planned or practiced.

I remember my chemistry teacher doing something like this back in 1991. She put some cereal in a bowl with milk and let it get all mushy, then put a magnet down in it and let it sit for a few days. When she pulled it out it had a ton of little metal specs on it.

She explained that the cereal companies aren't using the vitamin in its digestable form but are using its cheaper metallic form to save money.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

Makes you wonder about all the other foods and their respective "shortcuts"...

If the ingredient's list is the same length as a book cover's blurb, then it's probably in the same boat as the cereal.

Err Nasica there is a difference between metal iron and digestable iron...just saying.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

Elemental iron is oxidized in the stomach because of stomach acid and once it's oxidized it is absorbed into your body as the iron your body needs.  There is nothing to be alarmed about, and there is no reason to think that Kellogg's, General Mills, or Post Cereals is trying to kill you.
