Just curious if anyone has seen pictures of any of the summoner/necro/conjurer or shadowknight(?) pets.

Knowing sony, they are probably gonna go all out on pet graphics in EQ2 to get more people to buy the game so Im sure they will look very cool.

if this isnt an NPC then I would assume Mr.Bones is probably a summoned from this guy who is probably a necromancer maybe?

Here ya go this is a conjuror and his spider pet. THis shot was taken in beta not too long ago.

So conjurors have spiders? I thought theyd have some things that were more.. good. Spiders tend to be a little evil.

edit: oh, conjuror is the base class, summoner is what i was thinking. That makes sense, since spiders are neither good or evil.

Summoners are definetly going to be a fun class to play but might be a little hard because of the group based emphazism on eq 2

I played a Mage(summoner class) in EQ1 and had a great time. One of the best solo classes there is. But the one problem I had was finding a group becouse the pathing was bad in dungoens. Pets would sometimes run off and argo mobs, then when your pet dies or you killed it, all the mobs would come after the group (this is a bad thing).  So being a Mage you had to watch your pet every second to be a good mage.

Also, groups would sometimes ask you not to summon your pet.

Or they would wait until you make it, buff it, pay for someone else to buff it, make pet toys. Then ask you to please summon a different kind.  That was really aggrivating to me as a mage.  The pathing was a major issue in EQI and I hope they have fixed this in EQII.  I remember when my mage was younger farming velium in CC my stupid pet would just jump off the edge and train all of CC on me with my wet-paper-towel armor and no root/snare - more often than not that ended up really bad.

On a happier note I am really excited to see what the Conjurer pets look like, I remember seeing a high level earth elemental in one of the early EQII videos, not sure which one it is but im pretty sure it on the EQII site.

are you sure thats a pet? it has a name about it like someone whos a PC and a guild title after it.  Nevermind after looking closely it says recruit.
