Been wanting to play for quite a while..

in Final Fantasy XI

 Hello,

I have been wanting to play this game since it was released, but I was young and my father wouldn't pay for it. Now that I have a job and am able to pay the monthly fee I was wondering if this game is worth it. I know it is a bit on the older side, but I love everything I have read about it.  This game really interests me. Is the community still alive and kicking?  The game I would be coming over from is Guild Wars. The main aspect I enjoyed about that game was the community.  So my question to everyone here: is the community worth playing this game because I have read that this game is impossible to solo (which I absolutely love! MMORPG's should not be soloable in anyway). Also could someone link me to a website that has all the classes and races ect.

    Yes, there is a lot of people from every part of the world playing this game, there are 32 worlds (aka servers) to choose, as far i know the most populated one is Odin. You can change server later on if you don't like the one where you are.

    The two largest servers are closed down due to overpopulation. You're better off picking another server. If you happen to choose my server, Kujata, let me know.

    what about a download? try the free 2 week trial first, and if you like it you can upgrade it to retail version ;)
