If the history of Music tells us anything, there are a lot of parallels between MMO's right now and all of those pop-metal bands, ain't there? A bunch of undistinguished releases that get more and more unheard of and frequent... well, as far as music goes, right around this period was when Nirvana and all that crappy grunge happened, maybe we need a grunge mmo :P
an mmo that's such a change in pace that such a change is welcome
then, in years to follow, the good MMo's have a "reunion" of sorts and begin releasing distinguished material again.
I demand a GRUNGE mmo. hail to the early 1990's of the MMO!

Grunge pop only worked on simple minded people, the people who still listened to all things pop and top 40.
But i get your meaning, you expect soon for there to be an unknown that blasts from nowhere to the top of the top 40.
It may happen.
