Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

This game has something for everyone.

People that say this game will be driven like a single player game are sorely mistaken. It will have single player aspects such as quests and a storyline that you can follow but if you remember in WoW you can do everything for yourself till about level 60 minus the Group quests which im sure this game will have to.

This game will have a story

and directly from the bioware team "There will be PvP, raiding, guilds, crafting, etc"

So i dont see why there is bashing going on about this game. it will be great and you can raid if you want to get better armor and

you can play the single player aspects and be a loner if you dont want to join a guild and do well just crafting stuff

basically. Its just saying that you

DONT HAVE TO BE IN A GOOD GUILD YOU CAN DO WELL AS A SINGLE PLAYER.

This game is the supposed saviour of MMOs (or at least the next big thing).  Yet they've only casually mentioned that they will "have PvP, guilds, etc."

How many MMOs have been hyped by only saying "There will be PvE, PvP, Crafting, etc.".   It's a non-statement at best.  If the two bumbling devs who did the Gamespot Interview at E3 are to be believed, they haven't even started working on things like PvP yet...

For a game that has been in development so long and is thought widely to be targeted for a 2010 release, these features seem generic at best and non-existant at worst.  These features are also the MMO part of the MMORPG.  So unless they actually have TONS of stuff left to say regarding features that they haven't yet talked about (very unlikely in my opinion), some people will not like what they see regarding the MMO aspects of this game.

Thank you for enlightening us with baseless information.

BTW, WoW is pretty much a single player game until max level.

Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
    Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
    Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
    Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.

Sadly those pining for the mmo that will shun all other mmos into thinking clearly about the solo game play of a mmo will never happen.

Why? because if you cant solo you cant play unless you have a group going, meaning if its 4 am server time and you have insomnia and wanna play means you cant play since no one else is online.

Or lets say its during normal play times and your having problems with your pug groups because lets face it the masses that play mmos generally suck at it, forcing you to group with terrible players and fail multiple times at a simple goal because you got the short straw  that day and don't wanna leave incase one of the people goes crying to everyone they know about how your such a "poo poo head meany" and no one should ever play with you again, Group based MMOs thrive on Drama and crap that most people want to avoid.

Now lets look at the fact that they said "this game will have every thing a normal MMO has." and "we dont plan to revolutionize MMOs just evolve certain areas of a MMO." meaning their will be raiding, just maybe not in the way most games have raids. If you asked a few years ago to an EQ player is raiding a casual thing in a MMO they would of laughed so hard it would of killed them, nowadays every one expects raids to have a certain level of ability to play casualy or at least time managablility.
