I just got a Macbook 13 inch 2.4 Ghz Intel core duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, DDR3, etc.
I am looking for a new mmorpg to play while I am waiting for Diablo 3 : ) ans Star Wars the Old Republic and to continue playing afterwards.
Games I am considering and want opinions of since I havent been keeping up with the current games... I want something immersive, with stuff for solo and group play, fun, immersive : ).
-LOTRO
-Warhammer Online
-Vanguard
-goin back to WoW... I want something new but I know ill atleast enjoy it for a while
-anything else?
Also, please let me know any MMOs that will run on my MAC OS
I know I will have to setup bootcamp and install windows on a partition in order to run anything besides WoW, but can I use someone elses copy of windows or do I have to cough up 200 bones to buy it new?
Bring on Diablo 3!
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting "Holy Shit...WHAT A RIDE!!"

Most of them will run on macs, however you may have troubles with those video cards. I don't know why Mac makes such overpriced laptops and then include budget GPU's, you can pick up a $600 laptop with a better video card than that one.

Don't look for games for MAC. Use the dual boot program on MAC called boot camp to make 2 partitions. Download and install the Windows 7 beta. (It's free until July 2010 I think) http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
There are only a handful of games for MAC OS. I can also speak for the MMORPG.com community and say that you aren't getting any advice here because most people are Windows biased.
Bleh, install Boot Camp only if you want to be really inconvenienced.
You've got these native games (off the top of my head):
EQMac - Great, oldschool EQ, awesome community - stuck in the past (Planes of Power era)
COH - Fun, haven't played this much but still seems very active
EVE - Deep gameplay, very sandboxy
WOW - You know all about this one
Shadowbane - Might be closing down, but free
Vendetta Online - Space combat game, very small population
Many PC MMO games will work with Crossover or Wine though, so try getting some demos to run. For instance, LOTRO runs great in Crossover if you use the custom launcher called PyLotro to get around .NET. I have also played a lot of DAOC on my Mac, though I do have to use the old character models. I think I have read that Vanguard works, but haven't tried it yet.
You'll be surprised at what you can play without infesting your perfect computer with that virus called Windows.
Why would a MOD move this here?

You can try a program called CrossOver Gaming/Games. The compatability list can be found here; http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/cat/?showall=1;cat_id=2 I used it to allow me to play guild wars and several other games. It doesn't work with every game but you can trial it. Or the only other option is bootcamp/dual boot with windows. I wish they made more games for the mac it's new and refreshing to me over windows and doesn't take a year to load. My 8800gt works amazing with it and games. (It also works with steam and the games from there)
Oh there's also the mmorpg.com mac games list here.

For now, just download a free copy of windows 7. I have it running on my Mac and it's been great so far.
