returning player has a question about Mom

Hello,

I haven't played lotro for a few months now, I left 2 weeks before they released Mom. I went back to my guild in wow for wotlk, but I'm done there now and I want to return to lotro. I guess a lot of things have changed. I reinstalled the client and downloaded all the updates, the only thing I need to do is buying Mom wish I will do next week, due to im in an exam period until the end of this week. But I have some questions. What is it like to play Mom? is it fun? is it like shadows of angmar (wish I enjoyed a lot). Please tell me about it. Are there still enough people to group with? (I play on evernight EU)

tnx

MoM is different in alot of ways. Leveling in Moria is not like leveling in the open world becasue its a huge underground kingdom and not that wasy to travel through. The end-game is different because you now need to run group instances to get the best gear and crafting is much weaker. So you cant get the best gear solo anymore which I think is good since it makes it easier to find groups.

I play on Evernigh aswell and think it still ha more people around than before MoM.

    Welcome back :)

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

Moria is alot of fun IMO. It is a large area. There are several stables so that you can travel using rental goats. Lothlorian (spelling?) has been added which you can explore once you go through the mines. Legandary items have also been added. These items gain xp, level up like your toon, and their traits can be changed/increased. I would recommend buying the addon. Some new free content will be added soon.
