Is it just me or is the Asmodian areas and quests deja vu from the Elyos?

Let see...

1. I did few quests around a handful of NPCs.

2. Then I wound up at a village. OK, did that in the Elyos area.

3. Then I was sent on a few quests near a lake. OK, that the same thing that happened for my Elyos char. Hmmm.

4. Then I wound up doing quests in a forest. Hey! that's what happened next in the Elyos areas!

If this isn't a perfect example of cookie-cutter MMO, I don't know what is. Same areas, different textures. Same quests, different NPCs and mobs.

If they can't even build variety in levels 1-10, what the hell is 50 going to look like? I'm thinking this should be a F2P game.

I'm questioning wether or not I want to level my Asmodian char to 27, like my Elyos char, if I have to do the same damn shit over again.

If you want to play a game designed for the mindless, that's your choice.

The first 1-10 or " newb zone" Is very similiar for both races. Everything changes after that.

Well I hope so because I've got 17 levels to go before my Asmodian char is at the same lavel as my Elyos char. Figured I'd give them equal time :-)

Opinions are not trolling, but constantly bashing every single aspect of the game just because YOU do not like how it plays out is trolling. I like legitimate questions and honest issues with the game. I encourage people to have an open discussion about their issues but it is very obvious you are trolling. Very simple to tell from your post history.

Really?  So I'm still playing the game because I hate it? Maybe if you got your head out of your ass and put you forum rage back in the closet where it belongs, you might figure out that people are allowed to to look at games they play objectively. I never said the game was bad -- I said I was unsure about the game (for me) since I'm seeing things that bother me personally. That's not bashing. Stop being so sensitive.

Come on, Cfurlin, it looks like you are trolling, you have made 2 threads about negative things in Aion, when I quitted LOTRO for it lacks of PVP I didn't come to post it, neither with AoC, WAR, AO, ROM, EQ, GW or many other MMO's I didn't like, I just simply quitted them and move on with my life, no need to bash those games. I have yet to try Aion and if I dont like it, I won't post anything about it, I will simply QUIT.

Negative things IN Aion. Big differnce from "the game sucks". Still playing the game here. Probably continue. Doesn't mean I have to love EVERYTHING about the game. Grow up.

EDIT: While I'm thinking of it, let me explain something to you. There is LOVE, and there is HATE. Also, there is an infinite number of points in-between. Those are called gray areas, grasshopper. These are the places most people with healthy psycholgical makeups find themselves. Those on the fringe usually require medication.

Asmodian leveling is way harder in my opinion too, not sure why. Just some the quests and Mob behavior is a little more rough asmodian side.

Personally I wouldnt be surprised if all the starting areas were very similar.  Its meant to serve as an introduction to the game and its mechanics.  Its not meant to be 100 percent OMG WOW! Of course the start will probably be monotonous but as you level just like any other game the gameplay gets that much more in depth and involved.  So anyone thats planning to play dont be surprised if you see similarities in this particular way because it is to be expected.

Trust me, if I were being sensitive about your trolling I would have replied to your idiocy about forty posts ago. After seeing post after post of you bashing the game, I am annoyed. I bet I am not the only one either.

By the way: saying you hate the translations and starting areas is bashing the game. Stating that the game is poorly made and should be F2P is bashing the game. Just saying the game should be F2P is saying the game is bad.

I am not saying you are not allowed to look at anything objectively, that is your personal choice. What I am saying is posting every little thing you dislike about the game is not helping anyone at all, it is just annoying.

Exactly, but why you dont only make 1 thread with your overall review, of what keeps u playing the game and what you dont like, just like everybody else.

Because when I post, I post about a specific issue, like in this thread. What is more annoying than a 12 paragraph "review" and 100 replys quoting the entirety of the post thread in each reply? Nothing, which I why I personally don't read them.

I started my OP by asking if anyone noticed how the quests and areas were similar. I followed it up with PERSONAL opinions and concerns. How you managed to interpret that as bashing/ trolling or whaever is beyond me.

    What MMORPG.com thinks trolling is:

Posting excessive negative comments or baiting others to respond in a negative manner is considered trolling on the MMORPG.com forums.

For example: If there is one game that you did not enjoy, voicing your opinion is encouraged. Posting this opinion in every thread concerning that game to the point that it disrupts all other conversation is not tolerated

See the highlighted red portion. BTW, I didn't even do that. I voiced MY opinion of an aspeact of the game. And the same goes for any other of my posts in the AION forums.

What MMORPG.com forum users seem to think trolling is:

Saying ANYTHING negative about a game they like.

Agreed. As entertainment, you have to "hook" people into being interested. How many people would go to a movie and agree to sit through 1/5 of the movie, listening to the most boring dialog and storyline known to man, just to get to the "good part"? Methinks someone who needs more quality free time.

Funny thing is, solareus, that if you listen to all the forum rage-o-holics, I'm some kind of Aion hater. Imagine their suprise and embarrasment when they find out I'm actually planning on purchasing the game. (oops, let that slip out)  Maybe if they spent more time actually reading the posts instead of having intense, rabid outbursts based on certain key words in a post, they wouldn't look so silly.

Ok let me remind some that you are actually supposed to be testing the game which means, looking for bugs and reporting. Secondly, if you are going to criticize the game after only 10 levels then I'm sorry, you just can't possibly do that. Almost every mmo at low levels is pretty dull and boring.

And that makes it acceptable? Because everyone else is doing it? Reason #1 why the MMO industry is in such a sad state.
