Are there alot of people left playing Horizons ? I played for approx 2 months and left because of the lack of population and no sight of more content.

    Things have changed since the merge. Much more people on each shard, and the content was changed.

    After the first  30 minutes i played it i realized it was going to be a complete waste of time cuz back  then i just quit playing ffxi and it was much better then Hz. Lineage 2 has been my favorite mmorg ive ever played dispite the sutpid korean team that dosent give a crap about honor and morals.

    To answer your question, no, there isnt a lot of people playing Horizons.  When HZ went gold, the NA players had a test server, 2 RP servers and 4 or 5 "normal" servers to play on.  These servers have been condensed down to one test server, one RP server and ONE "normal" server.

    During beta, Artifact Entertainment was bragging about how each server could support 5,000 connections at once.  If you use those numbers, the maximum population has dropped from 35,000 players across all the servers down to 15,000 (and that includes the test server!).

    If you go into a HZ server today, there might be the semblance of a large population, but it's just an illusion.  There arent more people playing, there's just less space for the few players in the game.

    LOL, just got a reinvite from Horizons. I was in beta, but never subscribed. Maybe I will check it out again. Can't hurt can it? ::::33::

    Wow, I think you're probably the only person in history that has ever uttered these words. I've never even tried Lineage because of the unanimous cries of how awful it is.

    There were 158 visible players on an EU server today at peak (Saturday pm) playing time.

    And people question why they want to merge the three EU servers into one...

    Careful, it is not a free trial, they want you to resuscribe and pay, immediately....  They even offer a cd-key for the people like us who never suscribed.  With all the free trials coming in I nearly fell to this one too.  Luckily I tried to find the length of the free trial and noticed that free was not mentioned at all in the email....
