DAoC Revisited

Okay, so its been years since I last played DAoC and I've since moved on to try and find a better mmo. I've played everything from shitty Korean mmo's to DDO to GW to WoW to EQ and I still havn't been able to find a game as good as DAoC. I was looking forward to WAR but it didn't have the same DAoC feeling. I am now interested in rejoining DAoC. Is there still a dedicated player base? Are there enough people for that ever-so-central RvR? Is there any one server in particular that has a high pop? Thanks in advance.

     Have you tried Vanguard? I know it's said to be a crappy game but I've recently came back and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I can run it on medium with a 3 year old laptop with out any problems. Besides, the trial is free and I know it's worth a free trial. You can find the trial at joinvanguard.com
