After reading lots of forum posts all around this place, I see so many people either complain about how much they hate all these open pvp games, or love the one they are currently playing, that ends up not realy having "open" pvp. I'm talking about complete un-restricted, pk you in the face, no consiquinces, pvp.
So where are these games that everyone seems to hate so much? Because I love them, and can't find one within my tastes/budget. (thats right, I'm broke and play the f2p games occasionally. I'd rather buy an item than time)
Excluding Darfall and Shadowbane, what else is there?

UO and EVE are two more.
- RPG Quiz - can you get all 25 right?
- FPS Quiz - how well do you know your shooters?
No consiquences PvP is borderline impossible. Even if a game has open PvP you PvP at your own risk, a reputation counts for more than you think.
As for what you are talking about I would suggest
EVE Online: If you like flying ships. EVE has a very advanced and amazing PvP system if you don't mind the same atmosphere everywhere you go and not being able to leave your ship.
I would also keep an eye on Mortal Online, it is currently claiming to have an open PvP system and people are getting hyped about it, but be wary it has alot of drama going on about it.

I've played them all, I've reviewed them all.
Sorry for the double post, internet mishap.

Space really isn't my thing, I'm into the medieval fantasy themes-Humans, Elves, ect...
And yes, MO looks awesome, but I have read about their "flag" system for murderers where you can loose 10% of skill for every 5 people you murder within a certain amount of time, but I find that unrealisitc. Wouldn't a murderer get better at his craft after every kill? But the flag system is neat, for the bounty hunter wanna bees out there.
Should just be able to put out a hit on someone if you wish to do so, rather than a built in system. Allied player cities could have shared flagged players for the guards or something, and bounty hunters that could hunt the flagged for a living. Just my opinion. (sorry that got off topic and I'm really tired.)

Perfect World is the best F2P PvP game in my opinion. The only bad thing is that you have to get lv30 before you can pvp.
Here's some features:
Free to Play mmo, Full PK, PVP Loot Drop, Air PvP Allowed, Glowing Armor & Weapons, Flying Mounts, Land Mounts, Underwater/Sky Content, Very High Level Cap, Dungeons, Crafting & Refining, Clothing & Color Dyes, Territory Wars.
AoC has some pretty good open pvp. The only consequences are for ganking, but thats it, otherwise you can kill people all day.

Keep an eye on Earthrise, which has just entered closed beta, aiming for a release around December/January.
Sandbox, open world FFA PvP, full loot, skill-based system with territorial conquest and a deep crafting-system and item-decay.
Basically it's EvE Online without the space-ships, but with characters instead.
Have you tried an FPS? Try COD4 or TF2. I don't know about the Combat Arms thing, but it's F2P.
These are not MMORPG's.

I do play FPS games, and also street style racing games, and a tad of RTS games, but I like to have a good palette of game choices for my mood, and my mmorpg spot is currently blank with SB being dead.
My fps is Operation7 (was combat arms until it became combat hacks), my racing game is Project Torque, and for RTS its Star Wars- Empire at War. Oh ya and WWII flying on IL2 and sometimes Air Attack.
I'm missing on my RPG though. Gotta start Bregan D'aerthe back up in a new mmorpg.

Like I said there, keep an eye open for Earthrise
