So what's this I'm hearing about the community?

I played EQ II for years and loved it, I took a break about  a year back and have been contemplating a return, but have been hearing a lot of negative things about the EQ II community lately...and the community was one of the reasons I loved the game so much, friendly helpful mature all words that I would used to describe them...now all I hear is the game is rank with  Asshat Raiders with the manners of the Comic Shop guy on the Simpson’s...what happened is this true over exaggeration complete BS what ?

 

Can someone provide insight?

Complete exaggeration. EQ2 players are generally just as helpful as they have always been. True, every game has "asshats", but they are certainly not the majority, or even close.

Well that's what didn't make sense...and then I read this huge thread over on the forums about the community rotting from within....and  I was surprised about two things...one it went on fro as long as it did and not more folks stepped up to tell him how full of it he was.....anyway I'm looking forward on returning want to see how the new befallen measures up to EQ Classic.

It is a matter of perspective. To you it might be just fine and dandy, but to me the community is rotten. Whoever is starting the rumor might be doing it for kicks also.

I usually turn off the channels unless I need something, like a group. But usually it is off.

Ignore the haters bashing the EQ2 community. None of its true.

I think the community is better then World Of Warcraft. I there are allot of helpful people, and there is built in feature that lets you look for a guild. Though everyones experience is different.
