LOTRO on Turbine's page for $9.99?

I was just minding my own business when I saw an add that said that LOTRO was available for $9.99. Now, what I'm wondering here is if it comes with the expansion because it says The Lord of the Rings Online™: Mines of Moria™ Complete Edition. Now, the logical guess is that it IS in fact the full game with the expansion, but I've been fooled before.

I'd gladly buy it if it were with the expansion. I had fun on my trial, but as I saw it I wasn't ready to shell out the cash for the game and then the upcoming expansion. I just need some confirmation from, well, anyone that it's complete.

I'm just cool like that.

I believe it is only the expansion.  As isn't the game still 15.99 or something on their site?

Its indeed the full game with expansion and 30 days free playtime :)

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

Yes, it's 10$ for the games+moria+ a free month. After that, you can subscribe for 10$*months (you need to subscribe for 3  months for that special and the special price will renew itself after that until you cancel)

i purchased it last month, its the ENTIRE game, the Original LOTRO + Mines of Moria and 30 days free play for $9.99

For the moment the full game (original & expansion) is just 10$ from the site, including a free 30 days.

Also, if you buy 3 months or more of playtime its only 10$/month.

Its a good deal & a good game if you have interest & no other mmo holding your interest :)

For that price I may have to give the game another shot... about how many subs does LOTRO have at the moment?

Very good deal for Lotro. I had fun with it back when I played.

The $9.99 for all is an anniversary special that's good til the end of the month.

For sub's someone elsewhere estamated 500K.  Don't really know, seems to be healthy enough.  If you do try it out, check the O-boards>server lists to see how they look for numbers.

Brandywine is the most full, Landoval is the unoffical RP and there's a 3rd that starts with an E that are the top 3.

    SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter

    LotRO population:

Turbine doesn't release numbers. They never have for any game. With that being said, the servers (At least the US ones) all seem to be at a healthy population (Except Brandywine, I find it to be a bit overpopulated). I also read an article where a member of Turbine said the population is growing. I believe it as I see a good bit of new players chatting and asking questions in the /advice channel.

I've played LOTRO since Dec. and have always noticed the price is 9.99 if you sub for 3 months at a time.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

I'm trying out the game and I've noticed a similar trend.  There are still many people roaming around the Dwarf starting area.  The game is most definitely not dying and is most likely gaining subs.
