A recent change to the EUALA and a further explanation by a mod added up to (paraphrasing) "we are now banning all accounts that show up from an IP address at the same time". That thread was locked and another was started (7 pages total), in the new one I asked if there was going to be some form of discrimination that allowed people to play w/ family members or roommates. Both threads were deleted. I started a new thread w/ the same question, and it was deleted. I started a second new one and it was deleted. At this point I had received no warnings talking about spam, trolling etc, which we were told last spring were necessary before banning players. So I started a third thread, same question quoted from the last 2, but with some clarification and a plea that a mod at least PM's me an answer to the question.
I'm now banned (3 days) for trolling, with no "official warnings" even though their own policy says they must issue these warnings for a ban to go into place. I understand that I was trolling, but they never answered whether a player could be banned for having their wife/brother/roommate playing on a separate PC at the same time. Therefore the question remained legitimate.
And btw, they also deleted the "official notice" post that told players the EUALA had changed in a major way, a GM responded that it is our responsibility to read it in whole and acknowledge any changes every time we log in to the game.
I play RoM on and off and find it to be a standard grind fest attempting to copy what works and implement it in their quick cash scheme. I have heard complaints like these from friends who have tried it and after reading this thread I have deleted it from my system. I don't support greed or ignorance the two things that seem to be this companies business model.
You are lucky the current batch of GTMs do not follow the same guidelines that the old GTMs followed. You would be permanently banned by now.
I understand I was in the wrong at the end and deserved what I got, but the old GTMs would send warnings.
I feel that the community deserves an explanation regarding how TOS/EUALA will be interpreted by the GMs and GTMs on certain issues that could affect a significant portion of their player base.
So far I have no problems with them or with support, hopefully the company keeps improving because I have seen many complains, I cannot talk from these one complaining from my point as a player I am happy with the game, the game is not perfect but in comparison with other F2P is one of the best.
I tried to warn people about these nasty guys just after release (see: "Avoid this game."). Quite a few of the swell fellas who populate the game chimed in to let me know just what a jerk I was for daring to say it was a ripoff. Another, apparently a person oficially associated with the game, flat out called me a liar when I related something I had seen the mods state on the forum.
There isn't much good to say about how these folks run their business ot their game. They are trying to suck you in and grab your cash in my opinion. That is all they care about.
I hope my warnings saved a few people some aggravation.

And yet RoM still continues to grow. In fact, they recently opened a new server.
I'm sorry your Chicken Little tantrums aren't killing the game, perhaps if you go after one that actually does suck (like Aion), you might have better luck.

I see you're still hard at work shilling for ROM. Just read these threads and you see the great number of people that think this is just a plain bad game. But the same old 3-4 people keep defending it, and are usually attacking those who criticize it. Hmmm, it's almost like they work for ROM and created an account to counter any critique. A company that treats their customers like crap as many have testified to right here would have no problem planting a few accounts on a site like this.
Maybe a new server will help alleviate the lag problems a bit.
I do suspect because of the MANY negative statements about the game to be found here, the f2p scam artists have ripped off a few less people than they might have otherwise, despite your eager complicity.
It was a post directed at a dev who was justifying the current refining system. There is money involved, the prize is the outcome of refining your items to a higher level. The stakes is your investment in the diamonds. You are wagering the jewels to work.
The digital items are all just lines or code which is owned by the developer and not you. So really you paying them for a service as far as the law is conserned. Same with monthly fees, you are paying for the server access and own nothing as its all lines of code.

My latest problem with Frogster belongs here.

yep they opened a new server, but without a way to transfer characters the old servers are still lag-fest central.
Siochan is very bad right now & we lost one of our channels(we used to have 3 & now have 2)
Just got killed 3 times near obsidion due to lag. About ~350k exp. debt through no fault of my own.
