I just ordered a game called Neverwinter Nights 2, and 2 of its 3 expansions. I have read online that game will keep me just as busy as any mmorpg for weeks or even months to come. So Im looking forward for that to take Guild wars's place.
Im currently playing the Waiting Game, its fun. I tried Sacred 2 and Runes of Magic this week, and am not very impressed, they arent bad they just dont break the mold.
Lets all take a moment and thank Nintendo for our current situation.
I just got around to playing Oblivion, so that's taking up my gaming fix.
I'm thinking about going back to CoX though...but money is tight right now.

EQ1, first MMO I played, went through all others in my signature, now back to the first. Kinda funny really. I quit back in 2004, so it's been 5 years and I tried very hard to look for the next EQ1, never found it. It wasn't EQ2, wasn't Vanguard, so I thought what the heck, why look for the next EQ1 when EQ1 is still there?!
Playing the game now, it's been changed and improved on by huge amounts, it's almost like playing a new game. Except you get this strange sense of nostalgia feeling, which is awesome. The introduction of mercenaries allow me to play with a small group of friends, without having to worry about guilds or pugs. It's been really fun, 4 months so far and still going strong.
I had forgotten how big this game is, how much content, lore, and depths there are in this game. Good times.
I can't belive I play more then 5 games, I guess I don't have a life.
I'm playing Eve-online helping a starter corp group. I have a decent amount of skills on my character. In 5days I'll be able to use warfare links, so my bc is going to help my fleet by a lot. World of Warcraft has been keeping me busy when my corp isn't around. I want to test out the arena with decent gear when I'm 80. Other than mmorpgs, I also play cs 1.6 & DoW2.
I've been playing LotRO like crazy the last two weeks. I'm playing because I bought Moria and hadn't made it to the level to get to the new content so i wanted to level up enough to get into Moria and bum around there. Now the Summer festival has me hooked doing quests for pixel candy.
Been playing Fight Night Round 4 (360) because I love boxing games.
Picked up Infinite Undiscovery because the price was right.
Then been playing other misc. games here and there.
Just recently took a break from wow. Right now im subbed on lotro, warhammer and city of heroes. I know, crazy. I still can't make my mind up. WAR is still not much fun. Hasn't changed a whole lot tbh. Lotro is a solid game. I even bought the Moria expansion though I don't have any high level character. City of heroes new architect mission maker was a fun addition. I've been enjoying that the last few days. It's really fun to play user-created content. I'm playing the Aion beta event soon too.
Anyway, quitting MMOs might be a good idea (like someone mentioned). When I get my copy of Diablo 3, it might be easier to quit MMOs.
I don't play MMOs anymore. I've come to the realization that mmo's are a big waste of time, just running repetitive tasks over and over just to run more repetitive tasks. I've canceled all my MMO subs and picked up a subscription to gamefly (Console game online rental service). For around the same cash I get unlimited play on my Xbox 360 for a low price. I get to play great games now for the same price as a boring repetitive mmo. so to answer the OP I'm playing Street fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 atm.
You will be back :P I give you 1-3 months.

I'm looking to play Lineage II with some potential guildmates, however no one has a refer a friend available. *pout* don't suppose anyone who's been playing L2 would have one? Oh, I'm playing evony as well loads of fun that is.

I'm much in the same boat. I 'm back playing EQ after quitting about 4-5 years ago. Then doing the MMO circuit, playing just about every major MMO that has been released since (and a view minor ones as well). Not finding that something, and finally loading up EQ again, and have been having a blast since then.
im playing Vanguard now. Been playing for a month and love this game. It is a diamond in the rough....too bad not too many people play it.
Currently Playing: Fallen Earth Played and liked: TCOS, Vanguard, Guild Wars, DDO Played and didn't like: CO, MO, STO, DF, AoC, WAR, WoW, EQ2, EVE, most f2p Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, Secret World

Now off to the cooking network forums to whine about how i hate cooking!!!

Quit WoW about a month ago. I'm currently stuck in limbo and can't decide if I want to go back to FFXI or just wait it out for XIV. Playing TF2 and D2 for the moment.
EQII - Just started but so far I like the variety in classes and races. Crafting seams very interesting and I like that I can onw a house.
LOTRO (lifetime) - Good game but I'm a bit burnt out of it. Got to the end game and didn't really want to have to run the same instances over and over again for my rad gear. So I rerolled a new chararacter and got bored doing the same quest that I already did. I'm really hopeing they expand on the crafting and housing system some more.
DDO - It free why not play. I always enjoyed the game but when I was subed to it I felt it didn't have enough to warrant the cost.
As unpopular a response as this might be, I'm old enough that I just don't care any more. No one else pays MY monthly gaming bill, so I play what I enjoy playing whether other people like it or not.
I'm playing WoW. Yes....WoW.....STILL after having played it since it's original release, almost five years now. Yes, I've played other games alongside of WoW over the past 5 years, including EVE, EQ2, CoH, UO, LotRO, Perfect World, numerous others for short periods of time, assorted single player games, and I've also been in quit a few betas.
Why do I still play WoW? (And, btw...it's the ONLY game I'm playing right now.) I still play it for several reasons:
1) I'm in an outstanding guild with people I actually ENJOY talking to and playing with every day. They're all adults. There are no raid attendance requirements, though we do raid...when we WANT to. The guild has over 300 members which facilitates for us all being able to raid, or not raid, depending on the time we have to give.
2) It was my partner's first MMO and she is still playing it.
3) Regardless of popular opinion on these forums...WoW is a very POLISHED game with smooth animation, beautiful stylized artwork and a whimsical, light-hearted atmosphere. I happen to like that.
4) I'm 46 years old now, and I don't have the TIME it takes to devote to Ultima Online any more (or similar games). My life circumstances have changed over the past 5 years and it's become impractical for me to devote a ton of time to a LOT of games, or even a lot to ONE game. EQ2 and the others just don't fit the bill for me for assorted reasons ranging from artwork and design of the games, to them just requiring too much time and energy.
LOL thats cool, I too play WoW ... still.. as well as a slue of other games. You don't have to be defensive, fact of the matter is that more people like Wow than dislike it, they just don't come to forms to scream how much (too busy playing no doubt). Only the people who are burnt out on WoW hate it (Which means they loved it at one time too or how else would they know enough to evaluate it?... Hypocrits). And if they didn't try Wow and hate it, well then thats just (insert adjective here).
Btw I'm 49 years old, been gaming longer than some of these ppl been alive. I've played or tried just about everything most games never leave my wall of USB book drives.
I 'm currently back to playing CoX (cause the AE missions allow u to lvl to 50 in no time ... Shhh don't tell anyone) and BF2142 is what I use to get out aggression (I love beating the cheaters and ragging on them about how they got blazed by someone who is not cheating)
May try Free Realms but seems kiddie to me but will see.
Waiting on Everything. I will try them all, cause I rarely rely on anybody else's opinion when it comes to my entertainment.

I'm waiting impatiently on Mortal Online, because it looks so nifty.
I'm waiting patiently on Aion because... well its just another MMO to give a shot. Great Character Customization though!
