Well after over three years I am finally done with Eve. Just nothing seems new there any more. Every with the uber T3 cruisers and wormholes. I have tried other games like Runes of Magic, Warrior Epic, Aion, Chronicles of Spellborn etc etc. And while they all have some kind of different combat system. They all just seem to the same thing with a different skin on them. get to this lvl, buy or make this item or gear. Grind some more. Go to this new area.
Seems I am being pulled back to console games. Infamous and Prototype. Games like Assassin's Creed and God of War. Maybe here some time soon MMOs will start playing the same lvl as these games. But until then I think I will just put them down for a while and give my hard drive a break

I'm in the same boat. There just isn't anything that appeals to me right now. Mortal Online looks good, but I'm not gonna get drawn into the hype...
Then there is Diablo 3, which I'm sure will consume my soul once it is finally released (I got drawn into the hype for this one the day I found at about it...).
In the meantime I have been replaying some of my older games (Oblivion and Diablo 2 mainly), as well as mixing it up with some FPS games.
I agree it is about time to sit the genre out until something truly new comes along, rather than endlessly hoping that the next one will be *the* game.
Sometimes the best thing to do is just walk away for a while. Play FPS or something else. Drop computer games altogether even! After a while, the MMO itch might pop up again.

Arekaine I honestly think you should look into Mortal Online. =]
Not adversing or a fanboy but you might like.
No grind, no forced areas, no instances, no levels.
Problem with that is that the people become the content.
Problem with that is that people are jerks. =(
Who knows, though, you might find some people to have fun with - that's the important thing for sandbox mmos, I think.
I am playing EVE and it's alright... level V skills are a bit much.
You all need to learn to spell.
I didn't play any MMOs for like 8 months, then I decided I wanted to max out my WAR char before SWOTR comes out. I am back playing WAR and having fun again.
How many more of these posts do we need to see every week?
Fine you are burned out on MMO's. Why should we care?
I dunno. I'm a gamer. I consider some people here my peps, it's a public forum, I like pissing off trolls like you. Pick one
I have looked into Mortal. The FPS thing kinda turns me off. I still thought it was in it's alpha and pre CB stages. I will look into it though. Thanks for the suggestion

There are so many great non-MMO games out these days it would be a shame to miss them all for some same old same old MMO.
Lately I just finished Prototype, and Fable 2 – both good games. Also Mass Effect and Fallout 3 but those should just be a give-in at this point.
I suggest get Red Faction Guerilla (or rent it) if you want some serious mayhem. The physics for demolition buildings and having them collapse onto other buildings is amazing. I forgot all about mmos after I got sucked into the games intense destructive action.
