NA (THQice) Events? WTH

It's a little long but hold with it.

The events hosted by the staff, are both meaningless and not well thought out and its quite annoying. For starters each one of the events is meaningless... all the sign up bonuses through sites for being in pre-beta like the balloons will be lost. They had a 4th of July event (I'm not American so it doesn't bother me) for being in it you got an exclusive Uncle Sams hat which also will be wiped. There's at least 10 other promotions on items that had no stats at all... but was rather to show you participated in events that went on in pre-beta. The problem is none of it matters there wiping everything. It's not like they couldn't fix this if they tried... but they refuse to. All the awards were sent to your emails through in game codes... not like they couldn't just reset it with the wipe and let us use the same codes again.

On to the actual events, the first event I went to was the E3 event... god you think they'd organize it better for where they were hosting it at. There event was everyone crowding a GM who didn't move or talk his only purpose there was to send friend requests and later on they'd go through who all added him and give you an E3 balloon. All it was was 200 people on one screen standing on top of him spamming there moves that took up 5 spaces of room so you couldn't even see the people around him. I spent 10 minutes trying to add him even through I knew his exact spot. They didn't think that one out much. Woot add a person who's most likely a bot (turns out hes not) and get a item what an event to show off game ;)

The last event was a BBQ for wearing your Uncle Sams Hat, you got two hot dogs and a hamburger (both in game items that increase stats). If I thought the E3 event couldn't be planned worse... this time you had to trade the same guy... while at least 200 people this time not only spam traded him but covered his spot. I didn't even bother and came back later. Right before the event was over, I walked up and there was only 20 people there so in like sweet. He asks if anyone didn't get there BBQ. I'm like me :), hes well than put on your hat and ill trade you... the guy beside me laughs I'm wearing my hat. I had to wait 10 minutes before my spell wore off since it covered my face. (Yes the class power up skills alter your face, the hunter makes your face a chicken) Even through 4 people there argued with him that I was wearing it cause they had the common decency to take 3 seconds and right click and inspect what I'm wearing he didn't seem to care. The spell wears off and hes like oh... ok I guess. It's nice to know the GM would rather argue than right click me and actually be civil about it.

Through all these bad events the only item were keeping is the special attendance award which happens to be a lumpy stool (What a great testing reward since they sell them for Gada coins which are dropped quite easily)... other than that there claiming to wipe all contest rewards and sign up bonuses with OBT. All those balloons were a promotion to get sites to advertise the game with promises of sign up bonuses that mislead users...rather than benefit the user for being with that site. (I know one of you are gonna say they never promised the item would be permanent, but really giving you an item in game that wont expire than randomly deleting it later on... might as well delete pre-order bonuses it's not like they mentioned it'd be permanent ;).

In addition to beta access your gift key will give you:

* Exclusive Balloon

Another thing hows it exclusive, if only the beta testers could get... yet its only show able to the beta testers (That's like winning an award that's only show able to other people who won it?) It's not exclusive if everyone can get you might as well make every item in the game exclusive ;). Kinda a kick in the face when your pre-signup bonus Isn't valid when the game releases.

What about are MMORPG Balloon we got with this site? I think they should of had a caption beside it saying WARNING producers will remove when they feel fit.

    YES ME WANTS My balloon ;) nah not really- I just dont see the point of doing it all.

    Would you rather they not have events at all?

    Losing temporary items granted during beta seems meaningless to me. It would be nice to have an in-game momento from beta carried into release, but it isn't essential.
