curious about end-game

I was a huge vanboi pre-release.  I stuck with the game after launch for a few months and waited for things to get better while my guildmates rapidly disappeared.

I never had any serious perfomance issues as I built a new machine with an 8800 just for playing VG.

I can stomach the bugs.. I remember the old days =P.   My question is what do you do once you hit the level cap?  How do you spend countless hours once you finish leveling?  What is your motivation?

I'm really not likely to give Vanguard another go...   I have so many goals at end-game in WoW that I dont think I'll ever get them all done...   mounts I want, pvp gear, raid progression, titles, achievements, rep rewards...   they add things as fast as I burn through them.  I know that no other MMO can provide that... but what does Vanguard have to offer once you max your level?

I know there are mounts and flying mounts  to go after in VG.....  there are ships to get.. but not much you can do with them right?  I love free standing housing... but it loses most of its appeal when the housing areas are a mostly deserted mess like they were when I last saw them maybe 6 months ago.... it would be cool if most of the lots were built on... but its very unappealing when mostly empty.  The last I heard there was only one or two end game raids...

Tell me how you keep busy at the level cap!!

I do not play hard-core, so my perspectives will differ from those that do play hard-core.  My guild isn't hard-core either.

The level cap has been increased, so maybe I'll be level 55 by the end of August.  I don't grind, and I'm in no rush, although getting my levels is fun as I can have new spells crafted.

Our guild raids on the weekends, and even though we've beaten Kotasoth, we still raid there regularly to continue to get folks gear and continue to get our harvestable so we can complete various APW crafted items for people.  We are very close to beating some new overland mobs as well, so we have that challenge a head of us.

We are working on the Pantheon of the Ancient trials, gotten through a few and they've proven very fun.  They are easy to organize as they are 6-man.  Hopefully, we'll be ready for PotA B when it comes out.

Personally, I do diplomacy and crafting.  I'm max level in dipolomacy, but I still haven't completed the New Targonor House quests and have done almost nothing yet in PotA.  I'm level 26 in Leatherworking and anxious to level as they've also raised the crafting level cap.

I've also got a couple alts I love playing when I have them time.

In the end, every time I log in, I have more than enough to do.  That's a good feeling.   I know some ultra hard core players wanted more raid content with the last update and they've somehow already leveled to 55 literally playing 20+ hours a week.  I can even begin to speak to that play style.

It will take a while before you hit endgame.

And once you hit it, IMHO theres a lot of content around to keep you occupied.

I haven't made it to the end game but I have found that VG is fun to play. I usually don't worry about levels. I have plenty to do and tend to out level the quests and rewards that I want to do.... I have 2 characters above the 20's and I've not done the same content twice (minus a few quests that have good rewards :).

My opinion is that VG's focus is on whats between level 1 and 55.

There is talk of AA abilities to be added as well.
