  Have you recieved the latest email from David Bowman ?  Invites old players to re-suscribe, telling how wonderful things are and how we will love the game, but doesn't give any free time to experience it.  Seems to me like a desperate plee to be able to charge my credit card one more time.

  Worse with all the free offers coming in left and right, one of my friends called me talking about the new free trial.  I had recieved the email too and after looking for the length of the trial, realized, there is none.  Wonder how many poor saps they will get to resuscribe....

The reason they are not allowed to offer you a free trial is because they are in chapter 7 bankruptcy

They need the judge's permission to take any actions that would incur additional debt other than normal operations. Offering a new type of free trial would be just that.

 

In other words the Judge said Not until your assets have been liquidated.

As far as i was aware they are offering the 7 day free trial, which has caused problems in itself, but that is for another discussion.

Also i thought AE filed chapter 11 not 7? But i live in Australia so i could be wrong as im not familar with your legal system and its terminology.

Oh, and Jodokai theres no need to flame Xira, especially when you didnt even bother to explain why he was wrong with his post.

I didn't see that email, but a friend forwarded theirs to me.

I thought itw as funny, and untrue.  boweman will never have my trust or belief in anything he says again.  When I sat there in a chat and read things the man said when we all knew for a FACT that they were untrue....well, hell, he might as well work for one of the campaigns; let's split hairs and spin the facts ssssoooooo hard the facts are jumbled

yeah, it is chapter 11; as to if that's the reason why they didn't offter a free trial I'm not sure.  It seems logical (even despite whatisname's flame).

I also don't see any fix to this game by it being sold either...... which is unfortunate
