CHARACHTER DISCUSSIONS

For a while i have been thinking about playing guild wars and been "reading up" on te charachters but coming from past MMORPG's i seemed to focus more on the Ranger and Necromancer because i have a "fondness" for archery and magic.

I have been thinking about going Ranger/Necro for the reason i would love to have a aniamal companion and i love to shoot arrows because of the distance factor, the only reason i would pick the secondary skill is because for 1. you have to 2. its an advantage 3. it makes it easier on the archer for the necro to cast spells to help it through its journeys.

I am set on the Ranger/Necro if i play Guild Wars, but i would like to know the disadvantages of have a Ranger/Necro for a main,

ALSO... this is an important one, is there a MALE version of the Ranger, with the females figure i think armor tends to look stupid. and it makes immature people (i cant say kids cuz im only almost 15) say stuff like "hey baby, come on over to me and ill show u a good time" or something like that and if not i just like guys charachters better.

GAMEING DISCUSSION

With this "EXPANSION" thing coming out every ...6 months i heard, thats gunna be a little insane dont u think, well maybe not the 6 month part but the 50$ per expansion, thats is rediculous id much rather pay 8 or 10 bucks per month then have to save it, im a kid and saving is hard.

I know i cant change the way they do this but i just am speaking my mind, i think it would be easier the monthly charge way

REQUIREMENTS FOR GAME PLAY

Please feel free to post maybe websites or something telling my what i need, a website with the information would make it alot easier on me for the fact that i know that is what is for sure needed. but if you know that you need that then please feel free to tell me but i would like a website.

Every type of character has male and female form.

And the expansions WONT be 50$ each, i would think 30 at most.

Even if it was 50$ every 6-8 months... it would end up being around 6-9$/month, which is low considering other MMOs. Plus, you know what you pay for : content. You don't stand in some place killing the same mob over and over paying 12$/month waiting for the next expansion...

would love to know where the $50 fig comes from . all i have seen is thay are going to charge what most games charge and i would say more like 9 months which is what thay say.

ok everybody lets just face it we dont know how frequently and how much expansion packs. soo stop trying to guess. and anyways there will probably be enough content in the original guildwars itself to keep you busy. when i played the E3 thing i did 3 quest and played PvP most of the time and i played almost the whole weekend. and that is without guilds and only two PvP's.

They have stated 6-9 months for expansions on one of the fansite friday's. Nothing about cost, just that it would be in line.. $30 or $50.. one expansion every 6-9 months comes out to Guild Wars being cheaper than any other major mmorpg out there.

Also, friends can invite you to expansion missions.. so it's not totally neccessary to buy them to group with your friends.. they have stated you will be able to get wherever your friends are hunting, even if you don't own the expansion. Items, skills, are another story.. you need the expansion to use them.
