I notice a lot of new games put up pictures from their 3D movies and call them screenshots, but have they released any in game screens yet? Maybe I missed them somewhere, but it would be nice to see what the game actually looks like and even in game footage. Movie trailers usually look really good, but making them screenshots kinda of misleads everyone.

The official site has screens from the trailer. The trailer is a mix of FMV and in game footage.

FFXI Character: Satimasu
FFXI Server: Valefor
FFXIV Character: Tamorae Fonteil
Cool. I was just there. Do you have a link that shows that the trailer has some in game footage?
It is 1 of the questions in this Q&A with SE.
* Q: Yesterday's trailer that was shown, was that running of a console or was it pre-rendered?
* A: There were parts that were pre-rendered and parts that were running on the in-game engine.

The battle scene (where the mithra is casting a shield barrier) is gameplay shots, or so the interview with the dev on youtube says.
The game is created with the same engine as FFXIII and for console so expect it to look on par with FFXIII, SE also stated that the game will take quite a bit of power to run and a pretty high requirement to run on PC.

Thanks, that's good news. I try not to follow games closely anymore due to all the failures in the recent past. I'll keep an eye on this game, and see what happens.
