A good game doesnt make itself...its made by the devs and by the players...
So lets help the devs by testing the game the best we can, with no whinning or bullshiting about the game...so when it comes out the features it has will work perfect .

No whining, but a lot of constructive criticism. I hope the beta testers won't all be just blind fanbois only praising the game, but also people who will not be afraid to talk about what is NOT working or is flawed.

Your AOC assumption is false. There was plenty of ganking and breaking game mechanics during beta. I was there, I reported and so did many others.
Sure there will be those corrupt beta testers that get in with the sole purpose of finding exploits to keep to themselves and guild. Its a chance all games take at release. What gets me is all these guys high fiving each other for getting in Block A by paying $$. Its still beta , hopefully MO deletes your characters before live and hopefully people stay honest and don't develope speed hacks and 3rd party programs in beta like DF/AoC did.

Twitch based combat games will always have hacks. Add to grind/leveling/skill system and you are almost sentenced to ruining the game by botters.
the best way to betya test is to not go looking for problems, just play the game, and when you come across something, report it.

It's highly unlikely that people will get to keep their beta characters.

Yes, there will be a full clean wipe before the servers goes live after beta is finished.

not to mention server rollback and wipes before that. There is really no point grinding any skills or accumulating stauff in your bank during beta.
Unfortunately this is the downside of these paid beta tests. The only people that are truly willing to pay to test a game are those that already have a biased opinion of the game. That’s not to say that there won’t be anyone with a level head testing the game, I am just saying they will be far and few between.
