Behold, the Moorgard Index. More info on EQ2 than anyone should have time to read.

It has. On multiple sites. Apology accepted.
All joking aside, I can easily understand this conception to someone who is new to the EQII community. Expect a totally different game than EQLive. More immersive and enjoyable.
EQ2 are EQ are entirely different games, really the only thing the same is the names(places, people, races, etc.).

and the camping, can't forget the camping.
And standing around LFG for hours.
and the catassing.
I do not think you will be standing LFG forever lol, they will probly take in over 100,000 players in the first week, as will WoW. In EQI you had to wait so long for groups and stuff cause it was a 5 year old game and 30 servers with not alot of people playing. So there wasnt to many people in each areas.

Well, I'll be playing a healer type at release, and I am going into the game with a guild, so having a group won't be a big problem for me, but for certain classes, getting a group could be problematic, as they don't bring as much to a group as their contemporaries. Casual players will find themselves getting the short end of the stick again in this area as well.
Well in the beggining I do not think that any class will have a hard time, since there is only mage, healer, fighter, and scout. So that isnt alot of classes. Later at the next classes people will really see what they need in a group and be more experienced. I do not think EQ2 will have a grouping problem at all. But for casual players I think they should play WoW instead. EQ2 is more for hardcore gamers.

The early levels go by pretty quick, and are soloable, except for one quest on the IoR. After level 10, when you choose your subclass, the classes begin to differenciate a little bit. Some more so than others, at about this point is where soloing becomes inefficient, and the need to group really sets in. Especially if you're big into questing.
It's also at this point that the classes I mentioned will start to feel the sting of not being needed over other classes in their archetype.
