Right now I am playing EVE. I love this game. I wish I would of found this it earlier. I am also playing LotR while I wait 2 weeks for my skill training to end. lol
I'm not playing anything right now, but I am thinking about going back to Runescape...
I am thinking about playing one of three mmorpgs in the future: Final Fantasy XIV (most likely), EVE Online (maybe, but is proven to be awesome, and I love the harsh death penalties on that game), or Earthrise (love crafting games, but I am wondering what the death penalties of that game are).
A few things to ask about Final Fantasy XIV:
1. Will it be free, and you just have to buy the game (remember PS3 online is free)? Or is a subscription involved? What do you think is more likely.
2. Will it keep the same structure of Final Fantasy XI?
3. Will it retain the harsh death penalties of Final Fantasy XIV? In case you haven't figured out by now, the harshness of the game's death penalties are an important aspect to me, and I have always favored rogue-likes (or middle-cores that lean towards rogue-like status). I hate games with light death punishments, no challenge involved with them whatsoever.
Ah, now there is a game out there that I am highly considering playing. Jade Dynasty, it does look interesting, but it has brought up a new conflict with my personal beliefs. I hate bots, but what happens when bots are legal and the majority of gamers reach max level quickly? Do I dare perform the ultimate sin and use bots myself after swearing to never use them, or do I follow my original belief but I will be left in the dark for a while in a heavy-grind game?
Currently i'm playing X3: Terran Conflict, Assassin's Creed and The Guild 2, i know they're not MMO's but ah well.. contemplating wether to resub back to SWG once my vet time is up, but it's a toss up between SWG and CoH/V.
Right now im playing EVE and im loving it. I've played WoW, AoC, WAR, and Guild Wars and out of all of them EVE is my favorite. It is extremely different from any other mmo i have come across. It is pure awesomeness!
