This is precisely why I am suge a huge fan of Warhammer Online. From the get-go you can participate in scenarios, RvR content, and quests. If you aren't the average rank (level) in the RvR lake or scenario, then you get a temporary buff boosting your rank to, for example, 8 in Tier 1. Instantly you can begin to contribute and carve out your legacy. Also dying clothes at any level for relatively cheap prices is a plus.
Death Knight = Fail x 2 x infinity. WHY?? I will tell you why and also why I stopped playing WoW forever.
1. Yes the DK class did give the player power a lot of power at the begining of the expansion. So I thought to my self hmm now is a chance for me to take revenge on those little Pallies that think they were all that when in fact they wound up being little cry baby boy's who got there butt kicked by the DK class so what they had to do they decided to run to mommy (BliZZ) and complain so mommy decided to WIMP the DK class with the following patch. 2. After I gave Blizz 40.00 dollars of my hard earn money plus another 15.00 a month to own a powerful class just to get it yanked from me well that was the straw that broke the camels back that and the fact that with WoW it got to be the same boring content that was introduced with BC just a few added twist and it seemed a story line or two. Being a vanilla WoW player I began to loath Blizz NOOBNESS
1. Any company that fails to correct an overpowered class is only hurting itself in the long run. Some things just need to be nerfed for the health of the entire game.
2. Just about every MMO can be broken down into just a small series of activites repeated over and over. It is the added twists and storylines that make them interesting and distinguish one game from the next. Moving to a different game is not going to change the basic activities, it is merely going to change the twists and storyline.
Ah, for the Greater Good?... ^^ "Overpowered" doesn't mean nearly as much in PvE games. In that case its a matter of looking at the other classes and seeing what can be done to make them more fun to play. Those who insist on nerfing...Errr..."balancing" classes, are both lazy and unimaginative. Not to mention they miss one of the major points of games... FUN.
In this you are quite correct. But then life can also be broken down into a number of actions that are repeated endlessly, and which in combination are what we laughing call our lives. ^^
