Just a question...I heard there is instancing between lands. I am ok with this, but I heard that if I was with someone...I could be in the same place as him...but I wouldnt see him because we are in different instances. Is this true?

you can change the instance's type at the top right of the screen( If i remember correctly. sry i played aoc about 4-5 months ago ). Where are the words like "GAMMA" etc. I think if she-he is in your party then an icon will show which type of instance is she/he in it.
Yes, what they said above.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
i think both responses are dated.
there is an option to choose another instance, as the mention, problem is that i havent found a spot where there is another instance.
when you travel to the next map, you gotta talk to an npc, then a load screen...instead of seamlessly walking
now when you choose to zone into another area you are primped for normal mob difficulty and epic difficulty. pretty obvious what choosing epic means. so if you choose epic and your buddy chooses normal, then you wont see eachother.
so when your running down someone in pvp, they arnt going to click another instance and *poof*
some people get really worked up over instancing, and in some games i couldnt stand it...aoc its not so bad, really dont care to be honest.
If your "grouped" you all appear together in the same instance. I think what you mean is Zoned. There are the loading screens between Zones, same thing applies if you in a group then you will appear together. Instances are just copies of the same Zone. Whether grouped or not you can see message.
Instances are not really a big deal for me because it is pretty easy to switch between them. You will appear in the same instance as everyone else in your party when zoning into a new area.
I've seen this type of instancing before in EQ2 and CoX. I do wish that we could run from one part of the world to another but it's no big deal. Who knows, they may connect areas some day as they expand their content.
