A dose of common sense

If you

a) don't like the box price or think it's a scam

b) aren't sure if this game is going to be another Darkfall/<insert any MMO you don't like here>

then don't buy it at launch. Wait a month or two for patches and for reviews to trickle in. If you like what you see, get the game via direct download. You don't NEED a box. You don't NEED to be playing from Day One. Ranting and throwing insults just makes you look childish!

Good post! But we wont need to wait that long. The Block A people will be the first clue. There will be a few people who are diehard delusional and will trumphet the game and champion / defend everything.  Then there will be those raising questions and calmly discussing issues. There will also be the doom sayers stating the game is terrible.

The trick is to see what percentage is most rampart.  Take the Darkfall Forum for example, there are like 10,000 caution, warning, road out signs so its safe to say its not going to be that great.

Well, knowing that most mmo's still need quite some work even after launch, I always waited for a month or three post launch and check the reviews at that time. Noone should base his or her opinion fully on an alpha or beta or something inbetween.

Personally I did jump the fence with this one :) Curiosity killed the cat but I liked the concept way too much.

id actually advise people to go to MO's forums

then read moderators, and dev posts.

if you dont think they deserve your money after that, then by all means wait.

i am in Block C myself, (once the dust settles i think its where i will end up)  and depending on the NDA rules ect, as soon as i am able to give out a review about the game in whatever state its in i will do the best writeup i can.
