What is the purpose of it.....I understand in the early stages.....but lets just say the game comes out in November......Why would they lift it now and not wait till a week before release?
I think they want more people to start liking EQ2 over Wow and they want alot of info to come out before release. If it was a week before then ppl may not know enough about the game.
It's totally a marketing strategy: keep the game secret from the competitors with the exception of carefully screened material. A few weeks before release, lift the NDA and let the starved, unwashed masses unlucky enough to be on the outside of the beta fence stir up the market into a frenzy....suddenly pent-up demand takes over and there's supposedly a landslide rush to buy the game.

Perfect marketting strategy. I just hope they will have enough servers ready for all the people hehe. Which im sure they can afford.
