Aion - Digital Crack

I am totally addicted to this game now. The music, the atmosphere, the pvp, the character customization...I've leveled 2 characters to 20+ now (25 Ranger, 21 Templar) and I am having a hard time deciding which class will be my main one when the game goes live. I'm sort of leaning towards Templar more but damn, it's a hard choice for me.

I've never had so much fun with group pvp as I've had with this game. All I did in-game yesterday was fight invading Asmodians in Eltnen, and Alliance raiding through rifts. Good times. I made it to Rank 7, mainly due to a damn good group of people who really knew how to play their classes.

Another thing I've noticed is that the community is one of the better one's I've experienced in a mmorpg. It's only a closed beta sure, but I really haven't run into any asshats, mob stealers, any of the usual douche bags you would expect to find. Most people seem to be very polite and will help you if you're running away from mobs, clerics/chanters will heal you if they see you low on hp, etc.

The only zone I lagged in was Eltnen but I guess that's to be expected, with it having no channels and everyone clumped together. I like it that way though, there's nothing worse (for me) than pvp in a zone with different instances..kind of takes the fun out of it for me.

I just wanted to post this because I love the game, and I know that other people feel the same way. If you don't like the game I can understand that, and hope you find a game that you do like one day. And now I have to fight off Aion withdrawals for the next 2 weeks *twitch*

Yeah the game really seemed to "click" with me this weekend event. Got my chanter up to 22, did a bunch of world PvP fighting off against invading Elyos (I love that you can make those portable bases which allow you to spawn after death there, made it so it was almost like an actual battleground -- trying to find their supply and respawn point so we could destroy it) and then just chilling in Pandemonium dueling people and such.

I agree with you both, id have to say that this would be the only MMO that ive ever played that i just sit and listen to its soundtrack and not have itunes or my ipod running. The music is stunning, and i mean, sitting around and chatting with people is actually amusing all in itself, seeing as my person just doesnt stand there idle like a statue, he actually moves with the enviroment and everything. Theres never a dull moment ive found in this game. I got to 20 around midnight on Sunday, and i stayed up until about 730 this morning just to be able to pvp. It was addicting, and i found myself a group of friends who also knew what they were doing. This game is my crack and will be my crack for a long time. The flight pvp just gives off a new element to PvP ; so far ive used it as an escape more then anything else. Being a cleric, getting chased by sorc's and guardians then just jumping off the side of the abyss and hoping to get away. I cant wait for the next beta, to focus on PvP and see what else there happens to be out there in the game.

    =]

PS - All mammals have nipples.

    Get over it already.

I'm assuming we don't get to keep our characters? What sucks is I had found the classes I truly enjoyed too late in the CB (sorc/ass). I will never make the mistake of leveling a gladiator, let alone a warrior, ever again. It's almost as bad as WoW's early game warrior.

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

Yeah the warrior/gladiator feels like it starts off slow. It seems like they start to get some really cool stuff around 16/19 but I got to like 11 and then gave a chanter a try. Good thing is I love the chanter and will def be playing it on release.

It certainly isn't as bad as WoW's early game warrior, my god. Some of the worst leveling ever lol.
