EQ2, TD, and some PVP
If you're looking for a decent PVP experience and a well polished MMO then get the EQ2 trial, and roll a Sarnak on the Nagafen (PVP) server. Or better yet, roll a good character and find your way over to the games newish newbie zone Timorous Deep and start the quest line. TD is where the new evil race Sarnak starts out but lots of good characters still travel there (with a bit of maneuvering) and do the quest line. By level 11 you'll be battling it out with the opposite faction for quest mobs and griffon rides. Plus the quest flow is really good, and takes you past level 20.

I've heard the PVP is pretty good in Timorous Deep, as well as Darklight Woods, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
Last i heard, you gained XP when level locked, when killing players to stop level lockers, I dont think your experience in TD and DLW will be long lived.
I used to play naggie pre ROK, enjoyed the pvp server tbh, some nice features for a game not originally designed for PVP. You just got to be aware that it is quite open pvp, and even though you cant grey gank, you can still get zerg griefed while leveling or questing. So make sure you're not a softy rage quiter before playing it!
