I know this is a dumb question but I just want to confirm it before I actually do it. So my question is if I purchase Aion today online will I be able to play Aion beta? I'm not much of a PvP fan but this game is so far better then anything I have played for MMO

There are something like "Beta Events" that is 4 days with the server open. If you register now, I think you will be able to play in the next.
My advice is to buy the game and start playing wen the game release. You may "burn" the game if you play the beta events.
Also, the game is very fun, but is a ...
..WOW CLONE..
WoW clone?
You can not fight when flying in WoW. You can not fly at level 10 in WoW. The graphics are superior in all ways to WoW. The crafting system is superior in all ways to WoW. PvP is superior in all ways to WoW (lets face it... WoW PvP sucks).
With that said, WoW has Aion beat in several areas as well. Aion localization is not up to par. NC is doing the localization with non English as a first language people. The sentance structures and word usage looks and sounds strange to native English speakers.
The game has several titles that you can earn while playing the game. One of those is "Tree Hugger". Where I come from, that is a dis, and insult. "Anglers" are "Fishermam" where I come from and no one "falls to the ground dispairing greatly". If we fall to the ground it would in "great dispair".
Make no mistake about it... Aion is not a WoW clone.
No it isn't, and I have no desire to elaborate on the "why". Frankly it's been discussed to death, and time and time again proven to be the furthest thing from a "WoW Clone" that we've seen in ages.
I often tend to think that anyone spewing this nonsense, hasn't even played the game. If you have, then I suggest quitting mmorpgs as a whole, because they clearly are not the genre for you.
After reading that yellow text, it has lost all meaning... wow clone? wtf... what's a wow. Sounds like the bark of a puppy or something.
From what I've heard, some places to buy Aion online have a bit of a lag period between purchase and them sending you your beta code. But, once you've got that and registered - yes, you should be able to participate in all of the beta events up until release.
If you go to the main Aion site, you should see the beta schedule on the right, just below the "preorder" button.
If you're not much of a PvP fan, that's okay. Large-scale PvP doesn't officially open until level 25, so you'll have plenty of time getting used to the game in PvE before that. (Actually, a lot of PvP fans are complaining about having to wait so long.) Good luck!
