Both games are in beta at the moment, so there's no loss except a little of your time to try them out.
pandorasaga.myrosso.com/index_cb.html : Very good graphics for F2P and somewhat of a dark and serious graphics style. From Japanese developers.
Next up we have Emil Chronicle Online eco.runup.com.my/en/top/top.php : A more bright and colorful mmorpg, with a slight resemblance to Ragnarok Online. I've had my eye on this one for a while but didn't think it would get a english release, but sure enough It did.
Closed beta just ended so we will have to wait until Open Beta which is coming soon, before we get a chance to play.

i would be sure to check these out.Free2play nothing to lose except time.Damn you internet connecion upgrading costs extra~!1!!
Like pong i keep bouncing back and forth between games.
I'm now currently playing Pandora Saga, and it's not half bad. It's very reminescent of FFXI, although not so much that it feels like a complete knock-off of it.
Word of advice to those who would download this game: Don't download the single-file client from MediaFire. Get the one broken down into 6 parts. Why? Because the single file client is corrupted, and while playable, gives you some serious graphic and texture glitches.
Oh, and don't bother downloading from Myrosso. It's horribly slow.
What is leveling like in PS?
- RPG Quiz - can you get all 25 right?
- FPS Quiz - how well do you know your shooters?
I'm not going to sugar-coat it...it's kinda, well, boring. Right now at least. I'm only level 9.
Leveling is slow for the most part due to the fact that you only really get 1-3 quest per level, usually of the "kill X amount of this" variety or fedex ones. But as I believe in giving any game a fair shake, I stick it out until level 20, which is when you change classes.
Not trying to shy anyone away from this game, just giving you the true skinny of it.
I tried it yesterday and also found it boring. There are better FTP games comming later this year.
Please list them. I would like to know what other good mmorpgs are coming out this year.

I'll be playing Stabbing Myself in the Leg With a Fork. It's not really an MMO, more of a single-player thing. And it's not really a game, more of me just stabbing myself in the leg with a fork, but I find it a lot less painful than Pandora Saga.
That's the first thing that popped in my head as soon as I seen the screenshot. From the post about leveling grind, sounds like FFXI also.
So I think I'll just stick to FFXI.

Thanks for making me smile
So I played a little of Pandora Saga tonight and I'm blown away at how good the graphics are for an F2P. The gameplay is pretty traditional stuff. I found the game to play very smoothly. For an F2P I would say this game is quite high quality. The funny thing was that the intro when I first zoned in was so much like FFXI It does bear some similarities to FFXI but that's not nessescarily a bad thing and the game does have it's own persona to it. Haven't played enough of it yet to really judge it but the game seems to be pretty high quality for an F2P.
I'm going to play Emil either tonight or tomorrow and I'll say a few words about my experience on here after.
Here's a few screenshots I took.

Here's a couple of the land :
Pandora saga...
group based like ffxi?
Apparently they liked FFXI's skill progression enough to copy it also.
"Slash's Proficiency increased by 0.1"
Does it automatically give you loot like FFXI instead of having to pick it up, also?
I mean, I'm sorry. I haven't even played the game, but the similarities are going beyond coincidence.
The only difference I've seen yet is that PS uses hotbars, instead of menus like FFXI.

Is that better than Getting Poked in the Eye With a Sharp Stick? I really like that game.
On a serious note, if Pandora Saga is anything like FFXI, I'm going to give it a shot.
edit: Nevermind, I won't be trying this game. Was creating an account, and in account creation it asked for my Passport ID/Identity Number? That is information that I will take to the grave before I give it out to some F2P company overseas.

Seems that Pandora Saga has problems with Vista 64 bit.
It wont even start, you press "Log In" and it just closes.
But whatever, the best people have to say about this game is that its slow and average, dont think Im missing much.

I simply had to see if you were telling the truth - and you are! What kind of company needs a fricking passport ID to create an account? That's way too much info.

Those are things required by the Korean government to watch over Korean players. Usually, you can just make up a couple numbers.
Is Pandora Saga click to move?
Both click to move and WASD controls are available.
Thanks neverland , i heard them first time .Nice alternatives for ppl looking for F2P games already linked to a member looking for a game
And if you want to lvl fast you need to party, you get 120% exp at first when fighting mobs the more you fight the more will you get. Eventually it will rise to 140% and who knows if it will rise more but i can assure you that in few min i got to 9 thanks to a party of 7 people that we were fighting lvl 16+ mobs.
As a game is not bad if you press C you attack and can hit more then one mob if near or if you want with your mouse. Like other said when you fight with a weapon you increase skill for it and when you lvl you have points to distribute in your stats IT'S NOT RANDOM gives great chance for different builds.
At lvl 20 you get a quest to advance class and I think not sure at 45 you get another quest to advance again.
All in all it's not a bad game but like ff online it's slow paced.
coming to north america?
I kind of like Pandora. Is like a 2001 version of AION with smalll fonts.
No thanks.
Games with microtransactions fail for me from that design aspect alone. No need to investigate any further.
Yes the PS graphics are very nice. Going to check it out. Thank you for sharing Neverland.
Well I was going to give PS a try but it seems I cant make an Rosso account because I dont have a passport number/identity card.
BTW I live in the US.
Am I missing something?
Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
