Vampire the masquerade mmorpg suggestion

mordaki987mordaki987 Member UncommonPosts: 36

I was just thinking about this and thought i would throw it out there it's sort of off topic but not really.  I think since it's been made into 2 successful single player games, why not make it into a whole mmorpg?  I mean of all the pen and paper rpgs i think vampire the masquerade might just be a successfull mmorpg.  The various vampire clans, every aspect about vampire the masquerade just might work as an mmo.  I don't know i'll leave it to you all to make comments or whatever but it's something i've been thinking about.

CCP, the company that made EVE-online, merged with White Wolf (owners of the VtM IP) a couple of years back. They are assumed to be working on a world of darkness MMORPG.

It's also supposed to be targeted towards the female gamer audience, 18-35. What with all the Twilight fandom and other, similar vampire books, movies, series.. it's about time. I don't like Twilight, or it's familiars.. but I loved the Vampire: Masquerade universe.. and it is a stellar blueprint for a MMO world.

I'm actually more interested in this game than anything else, after they announced it was targeted more towards females. Why? Because I'm sick of the same formula/atmosphere we have with the other 50 MMOs. All the games on the market have virtually no social dynamics. They add a few emotes, a couple things to do, then that's it. When they say they're targeting the female audience.. to me, that sounds like they're going to make it more mature and build it from the ground up focusing heavy on the social aspects.

Or, I could be wrong, and they are going to make it 'girly', where the primary goals of the game are to obtain new dresses and skirts. Most likely not.. I hope not.. please no.

I'd love a virtual Barbie MMORPG if it were of the darker nature - Vampires and such.   Think Sims, mixed with Vampire the Masquerade...now that would rock.

No, the MMO High-Fantasy fad is getting old. I'd welcome a unique world with open arms.
