So just a question..hoping someone can help answer me ^_^ Thanks in advance.
I went over today to Gamestop and go the pre-order..got my beta key and went home. I have had an NCsoft account since I played City of Heroes/Villains ...but it hasn't been active for awhile. Either way I did the big arse download and installed the game...and then went to start it up.
Now I know the game isn't active right now, as the next closed beta does not start till this weekend. But I wanted to head to the title screen and check it out and everything. Sadly it did not do this. It loaded up the little 'nProtect' thing in the bottom corner..and then updated it in the top left corner. The little box in the middle of my screen for Aion loaded..and then....nothing.
It just simply went away..and nothing happened. Is ..something wrong? Or is this what it does when the game isn't in beta..and it doesn't load until then? I figured it would load at least till the title screen and then would tell me that servers weren't online or something. Is there something stopping it? My McAffee firewall doesn't bring a pop-up saying to allow/deny access..so I have no idea...
Thank you !

Mine takes a while to load, like 2-3 mins run it again and just let it go, if you are not getting any errors it should load fine
I thought that too..but I went and checked my processes in ctrl alt del..and it doesn't even stay on there....so I am not sure.
I can watch as AION.bin pops up for a bit..as well as the Gameguard.exe. Then AION.bin disappears...and then Gameguard does as well. Not sure what could be causing all this...
Anyone else with some input or suggestions?
Check to see if you got the latest beta version loaded. It can be found in the NC launcher > aion.
again as stated above, it takes a long time to load the log in screen.

You are running something Gameguard don't like and it is shutting Aion down. Verify what you are running to make sure there is nothing against the EULA. Run a virus scan, I know Gameguard dont like trojans.
You can at least get to the login screen if the servers aren't open.
Make sure the game can get through your firewall, and make sure you meet the system requirements.
What you described did happen to me once, and it was fixed with a restart.
This is probably your problem gamegaurd hates everything you cant even run xfire with GG.
It is the one major downfall of Aion I know of atleast 30 people who refuse to even look at Aion because of gamegaurd
i also had that problem after reading this post decided to kill out some of my stuff that im not using turns out punkbuster from my other game battlefield heroes was causing it to do that killed them opens just fine everytime well that and had to raise my virtual memory but that was something else entirely
