let me start out by saying im not sure what im gonna play WoW eq2 or wait for imperator.
Anyways i was watching some eq2 vids and somthing looked funny. ok in a vid the players seem to move kinda blocky. now they were about to enter combat and i think that the stance you go in changes the way you walk but just looked kinda funny.

2nd thing is the load between areas/zones. i the zones are gonna be big but i just couldnt stand it in ffxi when you had to load the next zone you were passing into just takes some relaism away.

3rd when the characters are in combat and stike there opponet it didnt seem like there was any reaction to gettin hit by the npc. i know its beta i just hope thats fixed cuz i have seen players take dmg and fall and so on.

anyone has anything to say about this plz post.

-Gosh you're cute. Wanna buy a monkey?

    1. the person could have had it on high settings and their system wasnt that good. Maybe it was just at low FPS that made everything look a little weird. All of the videos I have seen make the running look beutiful, the way they walk and how the armor or robes move freely from the body. It really makes it look so much better.

    2. I dont like zoning either, but as long as it wont take me too long to zone i dont really care. In ffxi the zone times werent that long at all, and I had satalite internet and a shitty system and load times were around 5 seconds. I would definetely prefer seamless worlds but theres nothing I can do about it.

    3. I havent noticed the reaction towards being hit. But something I do like is the variety that the person hits the mob. He could slash it, or swing it and etc. It really makes the fight look more realistic and cool.

    Remember, its just in beta.

Not many games have the character reacting to being hit. A lot of single player games do but not mmorpg so much. I don't really see how that makes so much a difference. While realism is nice I'm glad things like this or other things that would make a game seem more real aren't done. People SHOULD be reminded that they are playing a game. Its easy to become addicted to a mmorpg or wish it was real that your real life starts to suffer. Have elements that force you to remember you are in a game world are needed, even if they are done that way on purpose or not.
