Im not 100% sure if this counts as an MMO game, although some of the other games like Rakion, or scenario based games with lobbies etc made it in here so im sure this can technically count.
Its basically a DOTA (warcraft 3 mod) game, which is more or less a carbon copy of the gameplay style with updated graphics and remodelled heroes. They are currently in what they call a "closed" beta testing phase, although its more like an open beta because of the amount of keys they have handed out.
You are pretty much garunteed a key through searching google, but so many places have gotten keys that finding the less used sites means you will get a key more or less instantly as they are desperate to give them out. I got one at Noobwarfare.com they are asking for 5 forums posts in return for a key and will definately give you one. Some other site are asking for more posts, or running competitions (shacknews.com). So the first option was the fastest for me, and theres only like 13 members and 200 keys so should be loads left.
If you cant get one on other of those sites, seriously just google and there will be tonnes of results of places giving out keys. Its a great game for killing some time, and when the game is released, its being sold as a box game only, and no subscription (as far as im aware) So it runs like guildwars, although I think because of the way the game is, there will be a bit less content and not as many updates. (More command and conquer style I expect)

This is really intresting.. I loved both Savage 1 and 2, but I'm not going to make a facebook account for this.
The web page of the game is blank except for a link to their other games and facebook.

DotA with decent graphics and the fact it is standalone means WIN. Great fun when you want that 1-hour or 1-day casual break from your MMO, as its the hop in and play in a game room kind of game. Although it's "closed" beta it has 7k+ players online.
I wonder what will be their commercial approach though, I don't want to play a DotA in which my opponents have a +30% xp modifier or +100 starting gold or crap like that because they can afford it.
Well, you'll only have to purchase an account when it goes live, no bonus modifiers at all.
There is also another similiar game coming out that is not a carbon copy of DotA and it's called League of Legends: Clash of Fates which has a little more depth and with similiar gameplay. LoL: CoF will be free, you'll be able to purchase new skins for heroes and so on though.
I suggest all DotA and HoN fans to sign up for the LoL beta.

Ok... just new skins... I know that talk when there's already an item mall squeezing new stuff is easy work, plus the graphics from LoL's screenshots look like a bit improved warcraft 3. Just my concerns about LoL judging from what "free" usually leads to. HoN is looking far more solid, but I'll be sure to give LoL a shot too when it releases, for me it's all about some casual fun anyway.

To all the people who cannot said they cannot get keys, I said that I got my keys from www.noobwarfare.com they made a news about it on the main page, and then you go to forums and register and make 5 posts and then you get a key for them by forum message. It was bit annoying making post but then you defiantrely get a keys and I asked admin on site and he said they still have about 100 key left, but would not give me one for firend

i belive league of legends wont have chance.. with heroes of newerth .... when i just see how much cartoonish is.. league of legends....
