    Great review, 90%

And for the people that say this is a clone:

"In retrospect, I believe the similarities to other well-traveled MMORPGs works in Aion's favor. Players will be able to instantly interact and participate in its world without fuss or confusion. Only gradually does the game introduce new elements to its palette; before long the whole breathtaking picture comes into view. Without a doubt, Aion is an incredibly polished experience that refines the best aspects of the genre and creates a spectacular new world. As a fan and critic of the genre, I wholeheartedly recommend Aion to both casual and experienced gamers."

What is so special about it? I played it. The quests are worse then wow.  The characters of the same class are the same minus a few sigma spells.  You can either have more hp or crit or parry  or mp on your gear.  Game is not even that popular in China.  I am not trying to be a hater but objectively I did not notice anything special.

Why cant people just say AIon is good, why does it have to have some conditional nonsense attached to it...

Its only good because X mmo that I am waiitng for isnt out yet. Ion is doing its job, its looks good, plays good and its finished, its already ahead of warhammer and age of conan and it hasnt even launched yet.

People need to stop going out of their way to trash the game.

I don't believe it's being marketed as a special puzzle game with exciting quests. I think it's being advertised as an RPG with thrilling world bosses mixed in with PvP (aka PvPvE). Then again, I could be wrong. Maybe they have said their quests will be fun and exciting. But all I've read is that they've put effort into making the story of the game interesting. Or, perhaps you're confused and you think a MMO is all about coming up with crazy ideas for every quest.

In an RPG, you can either expect to do the standard kill quest, the boring collection quest, or perhaps every now and again, an objective based quest. The other option is that you could play DDO and do dungeon quests.

Play MMO's for the stories, for character development, and for hanging out with people (online).

    so...

I take it you are interpreting "slowing user growth" as "declining user growth."

Other than that, I can't see how you figure a game with 113 servers and increasing population is "not even that popular."

Maybe it's just me... but that guy wrote a little too much about the lore.
