Well after over a year 'n half of free play in WoW.. my free play has come to an end.

For about the past 18 months i have been playing WoW for free to do a billing glitch, went to do the glitch today and it no longer worked for me. I had a good run tho.

The glitch:

Before the glitch i was paying using my pay by phone option. I switched phone companies, but kept the same phone number active and it said my account was frozen..so i re-entered the phone number and it made the account active for round 24hrs before rejecting it again.. so i was getting to play for free, as long as i entered re-entered my phone number every 24hrs.

Today it complete rejected the number, so i guess they finally caught on or the phone company did something.. I'm sure i could prolly do the same process again and play for free again, but i was kinda gettin burnt out on the content anyways.. so i'll just mess with it in the future.

ps

i never got billed or anything. I think where i switched phone companies in the middle it just delayed the rejection process..

Not that Blizzard needs your money but I am rather shocked that you would post and brag about being a theif.  It sounds like your rather proud of stealing.  I could understand if they made a mistake and gave you free month after month but here you actively decieved them by commiting a fraud every single day for 18 months. I have to wonder how doing something like that day in and day out effects your self image and changes you as a person for the worse.  It cannot have a good effect on your self image and self esteem.  You should consider getting some counseling.

Its sad sometimes to see how petty some people can be.  Even as a thief, that is pathetically petty.

$15 x 18 = $270.  That is about 4 hours of normal pay.  It took you 18 months to steal 4 hours of my pay.  Just work a few hours and you have all the money to spend freely, wherever you want it.  Instead of being stuck on spending in WoW and hideously so.

As for feeling burnt out, what a convenient face saving way to try an exit.  I suppose you do not feel burnt out doing all those phone switching everyday, until suddenly the trick failed and conveniently the feeling of burnt out sets in.  Yeah I understand, you choose to drop WoW because you feel the game no longer pleases you, you are not being kicked out as a scammer.  Good for you.

Nice thief.  Nice way to make a living.  Really something big to brag about.

im sorry, not everyone makes 67,50$/hour and i would certainly not consider that normal pay.

but im not saying that stealing 270$ is good either, even if the multimillion dollar company gives 2 craps about loosing 270, but what if everyone starting stealing 15 here 15 there, the company would be loose much.

stealing and then bragging? thats low... if i would steal something 1 i would keep quiet and 2 i would feel guilty and ashamed. specially if its for something as useless as a video game. steal because im hungry... thats another story. ( and there are still many other options before going to those extremes)

$270 in 4 hours?? Normal pay?  LoL, how bout u hook me up with a job where you work at.  You know, not all of us consider $270 in 4 hours, "normal pay."  Shit, i wish i was doing that well.  You have to look at the lowest common denominator here, bub.  And $67.5 an hour aint it.

As for the OP, way to stick it to blizz

  • OrthedosOrthedos Member Posts: 1,771

Worry not, when you grow up, hmm i mean grow old, and accumulate experience, you salary will stack up, like buffs in WoW.

When I graduated 26 years ago, my salary is exactly 1/10 my current.  Many of my classmates who work ed much much harder has seen salary grew by 40 to 60 times over the span of 26 years.  I only work for 8 hours a day max 5 days a week max, as I like to travel a lot and see new things.  And I like to read.

As for sticking it to blizz, that is just a shameless way of dodge the fact that you steal.  Sad enough, you compromised yourself for just a few dimes a day, and worse still dimes you can never take away and spend on things you select.  For the same amount of persistence or ingenuity, you might find a new venue of business or create some stuffs that sells.  Who knows?  My friend's little lady sells hand made soap over the net, thru her blog, and she is making over $600 a month tax free just as a side business.

Opportunities are limitless, do not feel limited by what you now see.  Decent as my salary maybe, I am old and retirement in sight.  You guys being young have yet to see the limits of your future.  Someday you will hit a pile of gold here and there along the way.

Dude, have you ever even had a job or are you going off of speculation? In a 40 hour week, making $10 an hour, I come out with a bit over $300. I would be considered somewhere around the 'normal' range.

You are either blind or purposely refusing to read the part where he said HIS pay..... I even took the time to highlight it for you. Not everyone one in the world makes the same money and snotty-nose brats are not the only people that play MMOs.......for the sake of saving face, learn to read before you type.....

    OT:

So you've finally been weeded out by your pathetic attempt of leeching off the backs of paying customers.......yay? Now when you finall do get a job and start paying for the things you enjoy you'll realize just how utterly stupid your post was.

    Same.

What a sad display of base criminal behaviour.

Well, society makes pop heroes of theives and pimps, so not that surprising that people would brag about it.

If you really want to talk on this topic, ok a few more lines.

First leave the states, I left it years ago.  Tax is heavy and after all the social security you are left with 1/3 of what you actually earned.  Travel and work, no tax, of course no insurance.  So long as you do not fall very ill, you earn.

Second, do not work on a long contract, like a permanent employment, you stop progressing.  Even if you work in say, a banking sector, change your job nature or move to a new bank every few years, looking for more promising work area, unless your boss move you around for career exposure.

All these accumulates into wider spectrum of exposure, international exposure and most important of all, a career track that is constantly changing (and has to be interpreted as improving, going up).

Last and most important of all, learn to listen and keep your lips sealed.  You never know who has one idea accidentally dropped out of a careless mouth.  Do not talk, listen.  My father's motto, "Less said is better than more said, better said is better than less said".

As you grow up, you will gradually be able to weed out the nonsense, and spot the gem, almost as in instinct.  When you see crap, there is no need to break the news, play dumb.  If you want to make money, you can use temporary friends, and do not need to make enemies.  Heroes are to be made in games, in RL you are just nobody chipping away at money, quietly.

Of course, you can talk freely on message boards, as you are roleplaying a hero or whatever here, detached from your RL.  Once you log out of MMORPG or a game, you are back to your little money maker self.  Drop ego and pride.

I am stupid, I stick with a little bit of honor, so I compromise my earning power significantly.

Well,  I'm glad you are bored with content, because you are probably banned.  As other have said in this thread, yes, you got away with it for awhile, but now your account is dead.  it's not like you can start paying $15/month and keep playign that account.  You are going ot have to pay $15 and start all over.

Back int he day I used to play WoW for free by putting in a card with no money on it and it would take a couple days days pending before it would decline and it would let me play during these days.
